Excellent service. Everything was clean and in order. Free toasts, tea, hot chocolate and coffee all day. Great!

Hatters was clean and everything worked fine. The second day we were there we had no hot water but that was a minor issue. Only real complaint is that there is no free wifi in your room, only in the common area. It costs 5 pounds per 24 hours if you want it. Other than that the beds were comfortable and everything else was great.

A nice place to stay in Manchester which is close to the bars and central to the shops. Beds were comfy, but showers were a little disappointing with lack of pressure and the push buttons only lasting 5seconds. I stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the place. My only issue was that I stayed on the 5th floor and the stairs are a bit overwhelming after the 10th time you climb them especially as my key card didnt work twice so a had to head all the way down for them to fix it.

Not the cheapest hostel but clean and warm (I mean, the heating is working, I often froze in other UK hostels). Good breakfast and great location, really close to the Northern Quarter and walking distance from Piccadilly Station. I definitely recommend it!

The location is about two minutes away from the center of everything, really easy to navigate around. They offer great activities such as the pub crawl and the walking tour which help you get a sense of manchester. The staff is super helpful with personal recommendations of where to go. The shower button is a bit annoying but they are clean. The common room is also very nice and there is free bread, and hot chocolate!

We only stayed for one night as we were at a gig. Staff were friendly and informative. We stayed in a 10 bed mixed dorm and it was cosy. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Toilets were clean, though the female toilets on the 2nd floor were freezing at night - common room was light and airy. Could do with some more comfy seating - those breakfast benches get uncomfortable after a while. Didn't think much to the choice of breakfast, the rice crispier were like soggy carboard.

The Reception staff were very helpful and created a good first impression! The atmosphere in the hostel was good and there is a nice feel about the place. Loved the art work on the outside of the building! The lift was fantastic in the main building even though we didn't get chance to use it. It would have been nice to have toilets on all levels but that's the fun of a hostel in an old building I guess! More electrical sockets would be good in the dorm rooms. Beds were pretty!!

This hostel is pretty good. The location is great & the staff were super helpful. Rooms were a lot bigger then I thought they would be too. Only problem is it can be pretty noisy but that's just because of the area it's located.

Blinds in the room were so broken that they blocked hardly any light in the morning.

Hostel is really good, just walls little bit tin that I heard little disturbing noises.

Overall good communal areas, value, cleanliness & value. However the curtains in the room were so thin that it was possible to see the view out the window through them when they were closed so they only blocked a negligible amount of light.

I travelled with my girlfriend and we had a decent stay. Couldn't help feeling that this hostel isn't fulfilling its potential, though. It has a great location, a friendly staff and is generally an old and charming building. Our rooms, i.e. twin private + 8 bed mixed dorm, weren't very clean, they were uninteresting at the best and the male toilets were disgusting. The service was generally allright, although you have to pay 2 pounds to borrow an adapter which just seems greedy to me.

A good placed hostel in the city downtown excellently linked with all the city areas. We were welcomed very well and told about all the information we needed. I didn't expected that much availability. Toilets and showers in good condition and clean, not a very comfortable bed. Martina will always be welcome if she had to come around London, we'll be happy to show her the city.

I stayed in a private room, which was as comforting as my own bedroom. Although really high up, noise on the street carried and was quite loud (but I didn't hear any noise from within the hostel!). The shower room impressed me. Breakfast was standard continental breakfast, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I would stay here again! :)

The hostel building was older but clean, great common space to drink, chat and play pool. Small kitchen and free flowing bread were great. Staff were lovely and had it not been the middle of winter I think the vibe would have been great. Toilets were well restored and always hot water. No lockers in rooms and I would of liked a reading lap but these were minor details. Area is great though, close to all the trendy areas and clubs!!

The temperature of the entire building, not just the rooms but also the washrooms, was far too cold and made us all incredibly uncomfortable during the stay. The staff was very nice and accommodating, but there was little they could do about the temperature. Also, the other guests were not very respectful (parties in the rooms til 6am) and so our sleep was not very good.

Should control noise in the hallways at night. I've been twice in the hostel, one in Newton and one in Hilton, on Saturday night can not sleep. Moreover, it is excellent, very well located, clean ...
