The staff need an attitude change, particuarly the breakfast lady!

This is the largest hostel I have ever stayed in and was very busy and thus noisy. It's incredibly clean, basic and secure but this leaves it feeling a bit like you're living in a swimming pool. The staff were helpful, but rushed (understandably) and the location is great for the olympic park (short walk) and the old town (long walk or short U-bahn ride).

My group stayed in four clean rooms and we were checked in very speedily. The staff were extremely attentive and helped us to order taxis into town. The breakfast was basic, but a welcome sight after a day drinking in Munich and we ate breakfast everyday.

It is cheap, very noisy. The hostel is not in the centre, yet you have to pay for parking up to 11 in the evening. Still, it might be a choice if you are by car.

Probably their quietest time of year (mid January), which was an advantage to me. Really good price, especially as Munich is a pretty expensive city in general, and the breakfast quality / variety is really decent. My room had a lingering aroma of teenagers feet (!) and the showers were quirky, lacked privacy and soap, but spotlessly clean.

I only needed a place to stay overnight so it was not a big deal, but the quality of food and drinks served for breakfast is extremely poor: it would be better to either choose more decent products or leave people the chance to not have breakfast included in the bill. Common toilets might need refurbishing.
