A great hostel: quiet, calm, close to public transport (Bus 1/2) and some fantastic hiking paths - and with a kitchen! The staff were helpful and, being low season, for a large part of my stay I had the run of the place. Extended my stay here by several days - really enjoyed my time at HdA.

The stay in hostel was great, we were there just for one night. The room was prepared for as at 13am even if we book it since 11 - nobody wrote us. But we could leave our baggage in reception and go for trip. So it was ok. We have got excellent breakfast. Nice place. I would stay there again if I will come to Garmisch.

Very clean and comfortable, great value for money. The best location if you want to see the ski stadion or Partnachklamm.

It was great to be there! One of the best hostels where I have ever been.

The staff was nice and helpful in determining things to do in the area etc. The only drawback of this place is its location, which is far from the center of town and necessitates a bus ride to get to anything, unless of course you have a car. IF you have a CAR, this is a GREAT PLACE TO STAY bc there is parking and its not in the center of town, its on the start of a hiking trail. Would be nice to be a little cheaper for the 2 person rooms b/c they were pricy without any amenities.

This place was amazing! It wasn't at all hard to reach and the accommodations were superb. Seriously, I don't know if it's because of the numerous people passing through or what but those beds were comfortable! My only complaint was that my very last night, the keycard shut off, locking me out of the place entirely and I had to call the emergency number to be let back in the building. But even that was not too bad since the guy was able to get to the hostel in about five minutes. :D

Unfortunately, when we arrived the key cards left for us didn't work and nobody answered the emergency phone number, so we were stuck outside at 1 am in the morning! One of the guests let us in and luckily we had sleeping bags so slept in a corridor. The staff gave us free breakfast the next day for the inconvenience, but we didn't feel they were sympathetic to the problem they had created! The sauna was out of action too! On the positive side, the hostel was very clean and comfortable

This Hostel was very nice. And for the location, it is very reasonable, as this area can tend to be expensive. I would recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and affordable place to stay in Garmisch.

Great place to stay. The lady who runs the place is by far the most helpful person when it comes to any question regarding the area. The place is very clean, warm and inviting. The only down fall is the location, its perfect for anyone who is just there to ski and enjoy their night back in the room. But myself, I was there to party as well, in that case your at the mercy of the night bus, 5 euro for 1 way to or from town 2x a night or a 40 euro each way for a cab. 500 words isn't enough to expla
