It might be a great hostel for people who are in their early 20ies and love to party all the time. But if your looking for a tranquil place to crash and meet other like-minded travelers, maybe book another hostel. But the hostel has nice, clean shower-facilities and toilets. Also the location is superb, so close to the beach:) most of the staff-members are really helpful (including wake-up service) and they even let us switch to a smaller dorm in-between our stay.

This was a great location- right on the Beach in Tel Aviv- and just a short walk to the markets off Allenby St. The Hostel was extremely clean the whole time I stayed and the staff helped me arrange day tours out of the city. My only concern was that there was no lock on the door so literally anyone could walk in. But they did offer lockers for a deposit and daily fee.

Excellent staff. However, they really ought not to call that slice of bread and butter in the morning a breakfast! really poor!

The Hayarkon 48-staff is absolutly friendly, they can recommend a lot of exciting trips and they're always trying to help you with all your questions and problems. The kitchen is excellent, there is a lot of space for cooking and the hostel provides a lot of facilities. The dorms and the rest of the hostel is very clean and the location of the hostel is just perfect! You find a lot of pubs, clubs and shops near the hostel. And it's only a 2 minutes walk to the beach. i really recommend it!!!

Had such a fantastic time here due to the people working behind the desk and the guests staying there at the time!! Clean rooms, clean common areas and safes available are sufficient for keeping small valuables in. Really good location and atmosphere!! Loved having some bevvies on the roof before heading out for the night.

The location and facilities were just fine. Some of the staff members were very, very rude and let other guests do as they please. One night there was a party in the room next door, they were drinking , smoking and also had violent attitudes. Needless to say that I couldn't sleep all night, and had to take a flight first hour next morning. When I went to the front desk and ask for assistance they just turn around and look the other way. I wouldn't go to this place again.

Great hostel with helpful, friendly staff. Big lockers at reception if you need them (for 15 NIS + 20 deposit), which you might, as there are no locks on bedroom doors. Great showers! Good wireless signal, even in bedroom. Really good facilities, but be aware that most extras cost a bit extra too. Toast in the morning isn't really worth it, but it's something... Overall great place. Thanks.

the room is ok, the common room downstair very pleasant, but the breakfast should be upgraded in other youth hostels in Tel Aviv or elsewhere, for an equivalent price, they offer a great breakfast with vegetables, fruits, hot and cold drinks, etc;

Good location, and great staff. Although you don't get keys for dormitory rooms. And very thin walls.

Again, the only thing really lacking here is some sort of character. There is little or no originality, and the price is also quite steep. Then again, Hayarkon caters to pretty much everything a backpacker could ever need, and the location is superb. So a good place to stay, just as long as you have a healthy budget and do not require originality!

Such a nice place that many tourists tend to get stuck in there and forget to step outside and see places. Definitely would go again

If you need a quiet place to sleep, ask for a room not by the street, because you won't sleep the whole night! It's very noisy outside with all the cars and honking (and yes, Israelis do honk even at 3am). If you get a room in the rear of the building it's fine (with earplugs for me), otherwise go somewhere else.

In terms of facilities, this was a decent hostel with internet access (additional charge), washing machines, kitchen and lounge area. However, the mix of guests in the hostel was terrible - older (age-wise) and evidently long-term guests marred my stay. These men (aged 40 to 50) behaved as if they were living in a private room, shouting at other people who wanted to use the room lights at night to find their belongings and snoring so loudly that sleeping was hard. Such guests should be banned.

Probably, the best Youth Hostel in Tel-Aviv.
