This place is super chill and in the best area of town for sure.

Really wonderful location! The beds are comfy, and it's one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in throughout Europe. The staff are super friendly and accommodating to boot.

I was there three nights, they didn't clean the bathroom at all- even when they cleaned the room. It was disgusting. Half the facilities (like power outlets) did not work. My room was mostly sketchy people who were either homeless and trying to get money or foreigners who came here to get prostitutes. I'm glad they had a locker for each bed, but other than that, eh. There are a few far nicer hostels for the same price in the area. For me, The only good thing was that it was close to some clubs.

The location was great and the beds were pretty comfortable. However the showers were gross and I don't think they got cleaned the whole 4 days we were there. Good hostel if you're not planning on staying very long.

Staff were extremly rude and un helpfull. Check in took over 40 mins and there was on 2 people in front of us!

Would stay here again for next trip.

Great, clean rooms. Very nice lockers and shelves and electrical outlets by every bed. No common room to speak of so no real social vibe but great location!

The hostel is really in the Red Light, the location is not dangerous but is better don't walk alone. Next to the center and famous places. The security is not so good in the rooms because you need to do a deposit for to use the locker, nobody do it... don't have security. The staff is not friendly so much but answer our questions. The breakfast is not include,the price is 3 EUR. The best about this hostel is the location next to the central station, dam square museums and shops.

Good location in the Red Light District, close to pubs, cafes& restaurants. Beds were comfortable, however the 2 showers and toilets were in the same cubicle with limited room to move, however overall not too bad - there was always hot water. No kitchen available for use, and the common room was really just the foyer. However, the location was right by Dam Square, very central and generally clean. Each bed had a shelf, light and powerpoint which was a plus. Staff were also very helpful.

The hostel has a really nice atmosphere, all cinema themed. The location is really good if you don't mind staying in the Red Light district, but there's no problem at all. The staff was not so friendly, but nothing that really bothered my group.

The hostel had a great location, though since it is so central, there can be late night noise (not an issue for me, I picked the hostel for its location). Some reviews mention the stairs: they are steep, but they are typical Netherlands stairs: get over it. The place was clean, the safes/room door security was great. My main issue was the atmosphere. NOT a good place to meet people (!!!), unless you luck out in your room. You can hang out at reception, but it isn't a social environment.

This is a wonderful hostel. The people are the front are so nice and helpful. The location was GREAT! so close to everything. Only a 10 min walk from the train station. I had a private room and we had our own bathroom which was cleaner than I thought it would be! I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend anyone going to Amsterdam to stay here.

It doesn't have large common areas. So theres is no much interaction beteween the guests. Futhermore it doesn't have a kitchen as well. But about the cleaning: the best hostel tha i've ever been!

Maybe somehing could be done about the bad smell of weed in the hallways. I'm aware that it is a very old building, but if smoking is not allowed inside, then it shouldn't smell like smoke. And the bunkbeds were very hard to climb onto. Maybe you could put some stairs?? Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Cheers.

A cozy hostel in the heart of Amsterdam. If you're youngsters seeking some adventure, it's the right place with its hot Red Light District view from the window. Rooms were perfectly clean and hostel was well decorated with a theme of movies. Bathroom was also very clean. It does not seem secure at first look because the neighborhood is a little bit dangerous at the midnight, but we did not have any problems related to security. A kitchen and an elevator would be very nice but it does not have.

Heart of Amsterdam is in the epicenter of one of the loudest party zones, so it was very challenging to sleep here, even past two in the morning. There was a ton of screaming in the streets well past then. Also, one night we slept in a room off of the street and woke to other hostel guests singing and shouting loudly past quiet hours.To say the least, sleeping here was extremely difficult and I am not a light sleeper. Also, there was only 1 bathroom for 8-12 guests. Not enough.

Great hostel, rooms are just like a hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Perfect location, close to everywhere. Other than being a bit pricey, it was a great experience!

Mostly Good, the owner was a bit of a witch though.

Excellent value. The best was good and they gave you towels and sheets. The bathroom was a little dirty, but over all was a very good bang for your buck.
