The problem about the room we stayed was that, it had a window the back alley where there was a lot of irrelevant people hanging out speaking loudly or playing music or even getting high while doing all above. What I did was to ask for a room change or have somebody do something about it. However the answer I got was \"Sometimes you can\'t change things in life you know\". That should be on the customer satisfaction literature. excellent breakfast, excellent lockers, great location, great staff .. little bit noisy for the weekends .. and although I was 5 days alone with the boys it was excellent! The staff was friendly. The room was clean and quiet so it was easy to sleep at night. It is in the red light district, but my sister and I still felt very safe. It is a part of Amsterdam that might make some feel uncomfortable since it is in the red light district, but it is just a part of their history and culture. We would leave the hotel early in the morning and not return to the hotel until the end of our night. Overall was great, one of the best weekends of my life.The staff was friendly. Be sure to keep your receipt for the locker key or else you will not get your money back! They don't tell you to keep it just so they can get an extra 5 euros from you. They also don't have internet like they say in their description...when I complained they told me that the computers were being "fixed" for the next month. My only gripe was that if you didnt book a room with an ensuite bathroom the cleanlines of the communal toilets were alot to be desired... But location was awesome, breakfast good (if you went early) The rooms basic, but clean and the beds very comfy! I would say to the tall people when going to the communal loos... expect your knees to be squashed on the door as there is hardly any leg room! Great location, right in the red light distric. Rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels. Showers could be nicer, but its amsterdam. Excelent breakfast. absolutely perfect location right in the HEART of the redlight district. Me and my cousin were in room 3, a 8 bed dorm, and we had the 2 beds right by the bathrooom and the bathroom straight up smelled like crap, even tho someone cleaned it everyday. and the walls were thin, so we could hear every noise someone made in the bathroom. but for a place to sleep, i would def recommend this place, clean beds, and the free breakfast is very filling! the staff was also very nice, and very protective!absolutely perfect location right in the HEART of the redlight district.
