I stayed here for one night. I was nervous staying in the middle of the red light district but it ended up being okay. The room I was in was downstairs and not next to the street full of noisy people so I slept just fine. I also like that each bed has it's own outlet. Additionally, it was nice having a bathroom inside the dorm. My two issues were the lockers apparently are not included and the bed on the top is kind of hard to climb up to.

Everything that you need in a great location. Could do with providing a locker to each guest as there were three of us and only 1 locker provided.

Had an awesome stay at this hostel which is literally in the red light district. The location can't be beat, it is close to everything you need and majority of the city action. Even if you want to venture out farther, transit is easy and near by and staff were helpful in giving directions to destinations. The 8 person room I stayed in was a good size and had a large locker and storage area by your head which was nice. The ensuite was kind of smelly but still a bonus to have attached to the room

The location was great and close to everything. It's right at the edge of the redlight district so if that bothers you then you might want to look somewhere else. There is no real meeting spot so traveling alone it might be hard to make friends.

Not a bad hostel by any stretch, you get all of the necessities. One shower between 6 people is pushing it however, but the 3 euro breakfasts were quite good. Location wise, it's walking distance from many of Amsterdams main attractions, whatever your tastes are such as the Rembrandt house and Madame taussads. Also there's the red light district a stones throw away if that's the kind of thing that floats your boat. Overall, not a bad hostel at all.

True to it's name the hostel is jn the heart of the red light district so bring ear plugs for the night time if you want a good sleep. The beds are comfy and blankets warm. Not much of an atmosphere to meet people but staff were friendly enough. Secure.

Hostel was great, right in the red light district, not dodgy at all. Only thing I would add is enforce the smoking area more, it was meant to be 10am-10pm but people where out there mid night and later talking.

The location is really excenllent, but it isn't very clean.

Amazing location! Super clean. Liked the key fob storage lockers. Staff was decently friendly. 3 euro breakfast was a real nice spread of goodies. Hostel didn't really foster meeting people because no group activities or happening common areas.

Great hostel with a perfect location. Friendly staff and a good hostel enviornment.

Great location. The atmosphere and meeting people to hang out with at this hostel was a bit difficult. Although the outside may not look so, the facilities are extremely clean.

Stay was very nice. Was a little bit expensive for a hostel but we did go on kings day weekend so that was to be expected. Breakfast was very good value for money

It's simple. Don't book this hotel if you want a pleasant journey and I will never use hostelworld again. That's all I can say.

The staff was less than friendly, I was late for breakfast by 1 minute and the woman wouldn't even let me grab coffee on the flip side it's centrally located. Bleh.

The lady at the front desk could practice to be a little more friendly!

Hostel, 6 people for room generally, clean enough, good security, fair price (for Amsterdam) and great location, indeed in the heart of the city as the name itself says

They do not have regulations of public space. Someone made much noise when I was sleeping. It has a good location with many kinds of food. But because of good location, some weird roommates may take drug or get drunk till midnight. It is easy to go back room so that I didn't have good sleeping. It should be noticed if the shared room is wanted to be reserved.

It's in a good place if you want to visit a red light district. There's was a strange vibe there though and staff weren't particularly helpful. My bed had a fresh stain on it when I arrived and the rooms felt a bit too dark. But it was ensuit which was good and could get wifi in the room.
