The Male staff were all lovely, but the girl who greeted us on reception was useless, and very unhelpful.

Its a really nice hostel, I didn't like that much the decoration, but that doesn´t matter. Its clean, safet, well located and the people in the reception is allways helpful. I think this place is perfect if you are young and you want to have a different experiencie in Amsterdam because is in the main street of the red light district, I don't think its a good idea for a family journey.

Good place to stay if your in Amsterdam for a coulple days. Lockers will fit very large bags. Beware, if you plan on heading to amsterdam early and want to leave your bags at the hostel they will just throw all the bags in a small closet which will most likely be full. You are right at the edge of the red light district which is close to all the shopping, smokers shops, and train station. Ppl at front desk are helpful but cleaning crew are very rude so don't expect to sleep in room during day

Front of house when we arrived were very serious and slightly unwelcoming. Apart from that the other staff were helpful, our room was clean and the beds were as comfy as a single bed can be. Rooms were quite dark (Paint on the wall was a contrast of green/black) but made for good sleeping.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heart of Amsterdam. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely girl at reception who checked us in and told us what we needed to know about the hostel and what not. We got the Matrix Room which was extremely clean. The showers were nice and powerful. Breakfast is worth it as it is only 3 euros and you can just help yourself. I would definitely stay again!

A very beautiful villa with pool and cheap rooms. The owner is very nice to us, even giving us free transport from and to airport and also give us a complimentary wine before our departure. Overall, very reccommended
