The bathroom looked like a mess. With seven people in an appartment, you would expext some cleaning. The pillows were old and not giving any support which hurt our necks.

Good location, easy walk to the main town/beaches, nice enough rooms and kitchen but loads of mosquitoes.

The location was excellent... a short 10 minute walk from the main Port of Hvar.. However it is up a hill. This hostel is more a house than a hostel, which wasn't a problem however there was nowhere safe for cash or passports etc. The window in our bedroom didn't lock and the house was left unlocked by other guests. Though, in saying that the owner of the hostel lived next door and was always home. And I will also say that Croatia is very safe and I didn't feel uneasy except about our vaulables

We really enjoyed our stay at Heaven's Gate. Our room was huge and clean with air con and the kitchen facilities were perfect. There was also an outside dining area which was really handy. Great location, five minutes from the Old Town centre and the sea. Just be aware, that when the directions say six steps, its actually eight!
