This has been my most enjoyable experience in a hostel in Scotland so far. This hostel is comfortable, warm, and very well run by the owner/operator Christine. She has made a real investment here, her creativity and flair are quietly evident everywhere. The bathroom for the women's dorm was superb - like a five star hotel! The hostel is well placed in the heart of beautiful Stornoway for people to venture out - bus and ferry very close by. Christine was calm, organised and helpful. Go!

An excellent hostel in every way. Heb Hostel is one of the best hostels I stayed at.

The Heb Hostel was truly amazing. Excellent location, very easy to find. Safe area, quite scenic as well! The staff were amazingly friendly, Christine is really sweet and attentive. I would love to go back to Stornoway, and if I do, I'll definitely go back to the Heb Hostel. Facilities were clean, well organized, modern and available when needed. The rooms were spacious and pretty. Internet was a definite plus. Highly recommended!

Shame that the heating was not working properly, but Ian was trying his best to solve that problem! Thanks also for the small concert and the song ;) This place feels very homely, hope I can come again some day.
