About Hedonisia Hawaii Eco-Hostel
Near Pahoa - Hedonisia Hawaii Eco-Hostel is located in the lush tropical rainforests of the Eastern 'Puna Region' of the Big Island of Hawaii near the town of Pahoa.
Hedonisia Hawaii is relaxed and quiet; only 10 bedspaces on a property of 3.72 acres. The land includes a gigantic 2-acre volcanic crater with a mini-jungle at the bottom, various gardens with spices and salad greens available to guests.
Guests enjoy a private outdoor shower with hot water and our famous eco-friendly 'Toilet with a View'. Local calls and Toll-free calls are free.
Here are the accommodations we offer. All include bedding:
a) 3-Bed Mixed Dorm - These are dormitory tent space accommodations in 'The Barn'. 'The Barn' is a large indoor space with a 'jungle kitchen' , and an entertainment area with high speed internet access and DVD movies.
We have 3 comfortable tents in the Barn. Our tents inside the Barn are fully outfitted with sleeping mattresses, sheets, blankets and pillows. Each tent space is self-contained and allows for privacy.
b) Single Private Shared Bathroom - There is only one lodging option in this category:
i) Guava Tent Space - A simple private sheltered tent space with full bedding in a quiet corner of the property.
c) Double Private Shared Bathroom - This option consists of the following lodgings:
i) The Bamboo Hut. This is a private hut as shown in Picture 6. Perfect for couples.
ii) The Love Bus. This is a converted School Bus. Our Jungle Bus apartment is great for up to two couples or for small families with children. It is called the Love Bus because there are some sensual paintings inside!
iii) Jungle Breeze. This is a quirky space in the far corner of the property. This space was has a queen size bed and is made of a pathwork quilt of old tents that have been creatively sewn together to create a unique lodging space.
iv) Ocean View. This is a cozy tiny hut that is at the highest point on the property with a beautiful view of the ocean. Great for those of you who are comfortable walking up trails to get to Ocean View. Not suitable for those who are physically challenged.
v) Sunny Side Space - This is a beautiful lodging space which is actually built into an old tractor.
d) 4 Bed Private Ensuite - For those who wish to enjoy the Hawaiian jungle but also need all the amenities of home we offer a Jungle Cottage. The Jungle Cottage is fully furnished; kitchen with range/oven, refrigerator, and most appliances; ensuite bathtub with a hot shower and flush toilet. The living/sleeping area has 1 queen size bed and 1 queen futon.
Please note that Hawaiian State Taxes of 11.42% applies to all bookings.
