Super friendly staff and really nice restaurant. While the location was not near the city center, it was super easy from the north train station. The room was surprisingly dirty, especially the floor. Given that the room had clearly been cleaned right before I arrived (ie. floor was wet) I'm not sure how that's possible, but it was. Bed was clean and cozy though!
Amazing hostel, perfectly organized.

Helpful staff at the travel desk. Nice place, very good value for money! Would definitely go back!
The staff here were the most impressive of any hostel I have been to, EVER. They have anticipated every single problem you may have! They are super friendly, too.I was less than impressed with the rooms, though. The dorms have bunk beds. If you are unlucky enough to get a top bunk (like I was), they are SUPER high and difficult to climb in and out of. But that's not the real issue - there are so many people coming in and out, so it was hard to get an uninterrupted night's sleep.
Great hostel, wonderful, competent staff, esp since they all spoke English. Staff were very helpful organizing tours/trips. Price unbeatable. Great Cafe Latte at restaurant. Service at restaurant was fast and efficient.
I have stayed at Sims three or four times now, and I love it! It is a bit of a walk from the subway, but I really like the hostel's vibe and the staff. I like it, but I think Mix might be a better hostel if you feel like mingling. Overall, the staff helps me with everything and there is a great massage place down the street, along with a Pizza Hut and one of the best hot places I have been to (and cheap!). Love it!
Room was as described, no surprises. Would like to see a top sheet (linen) along with the quilt. We found the staff most accommodating and helpful with providing sound advice on bus routes, shopping and tours. We thought the Sanzingdui archaeological site was a great surprise, the staff however did not seem to sell this site ands it was certainly worth a good half day. Overall our stay at Sim's Cozy was a great experience. of an archaeological site and its

A great hostel in Chengdu, and I can see why it is so well-known and recommended by backpackers. The staff is really nice and helpful with everything and they have a lot of facilities, and a special tour-desk where they help you with all from ticket booking to tips for your outreach to different places in Sichuan.
Right from the moment I stepped into Sims Cosy Garden Hostel, I felt very much at ease. The courtyard is made up in such a way that you feel like you're leaving the hustle and bustle of Chengdu for a positive haven of peace and quiet. The staff was instantly helpful, offering without my asking, as soon as I arrived, to help me sort out transportation to the airport the next day. The overall atmosphere was also very friendly. The rooms are decent, if a little shabby.

Spending our last few nights in China at Sim's Cozy Garden Hostel was a great way to end our adventure in China. After 5 weeks on the road we throughly enjoyed the comfort of Sim's.
I oredered a single room. The room was very small (No. 402) comparing to other single rooms( like No. 408 maybe or 406). If it can be arrenged differently the will be more space for the guests.
I HIGHLY recommend this hostel, perhaps above all others in China. The food, rooms and beauty of the place are a step above others. You can get lost in this hostel wandering around in the garden are. Only thing is location, which is ok, but could be better. It's a quick walk from the subway and a short bus away from lots of things, but don't expect to be able to walk anyplace form the hostel. Again, it's still great.
The best hostel we stay ontem our trip! Really nice
The beds were the most comfortable beds I've had in all of China! There were bunnies and cats and a puppy which made it feel home-y and the food was excellent! The decor made it feel like a mini-resort.
we stayed there for 6 nights and had 2 different rooms. the first a room for 3, we resived it becouse we arrived there in 5 am and they were really nice not leting us wate for 5 hours, giving us the only room they had left that was more expansive than what we payed for, the room was not very clean but very big in the middle of the garden. the secound was a good clean room for 2. they had all the facillities you need, ever money exchange and good food.
Really great hostel, slight shame that it's a little way from the city centre though there are plenty of buses and the staff will happily tell you how to get to various tourist sights. Great bar and garden
Pleasant stay in Chengdu. Large facility, lots of space to relax in the garden, feed the pet rabbits and play with the dog. Restaurant and bar were also good. Staff spoke decent english and were able to help us book further travel. The location is a bit inconvenient, 15 minute walk from the subway but there is a bus stop nearby but we ended up taking a taxi or walking most of the time. Great value, we had a triple room. It was clean, but the bathroom could use more shelf space.
