The hostel itself was very nice, good kitchen facilities and the staff was very helpful. I really appreciated the free breakfast as well. Location was easy to find and I felt relatively safe. My only problem was that it was very loud in the hostel which made it impossible for me to sleep.

Only one bathroom which was, at times, difficult, but other than that a really great place to stay! The staff was absolutely amazing!

I loved my stay at Hello Marseille. Both Lena and Julien were wonderful. I felt welcome from the moment I stepped in the door. One of the best hostel experiences I've had, and I've traveled all over the world. Cannot recommend the hostel and the staff more highly.

Only one toilette for the whole hostel. Two of the three showers were recently renovated, but there is no where to keep your clothes to keep them dry while in the shower so you have to change after you step out and this room doesn't have a lock on the door. Breakfast was included but is only bread and jam. Great atmosphere in the main room and nice to have a full kitchen at your disposal.

The hostel is HORRIBLE. Only one toilet for everyone, my room had a shower and so all the hostel showered in my room, people passed by without any care for the people that were sleeping. It wasn't safe at all, as some people from the staff didn't know all of the guests and anyone could enter and leave the hostel without supervision. The shower was disgusting, the bathroom really dirty, and so was the kitchen. The breakfast is pathetic, they just give you a peace of old bread and "coffee".

The staff and the location is very nice indeed. Right by the port and close to the Notre Dame, you could go to a lot of places easily from there. Only areas for improvement would probably be the facilities, only one room for shower and one toilet, the breakfast is also a little too simple, though its free. Anyway, it has a big kitchen so you can cook.

Warm welcome and service.Room a little noisy from street.Pleased to see that improvements are being made to showers but still on going at time of stay. Is the donation to breakfast what you should be requesting at your price rate?

The person at the front didn't speak english well so it was hard to get any information about the city from her. It seemed like the hostel was catering to their staff more than their guests as was witnessed by a big dinner party they had in the main room while us guests were hunkered down in our dorm room. You can do better - keep looking

Me and my friend had a great stay at Hello Marseille hostel. We would have missed many great spots in Marseille had it not been for the wonderful and helpful staff. They helped a lot and were always super nice! The place is very personal and comfortable, while still cheap and simple. The breakfast was a big plus as well.

It is very disturbing to have people come to your bed at night or early morning because their lugage is storaged underneath your matress.

Was pickpocketed right in the front door of the building but staff was super helpful (thanks Eugene!). Maybe security cameras could be added? Though I realize this may have to be decide by the building management. Awesome perks: fast computer with Internet, free maps, free breakfast, cool stuff in the lounge, and a giant bathroom to shower.

Awesome hostel! The location and 24-hour reception are amazing. The common areas are comfortable and great for meeting people. The community breakfast adds a nice touch. The only downside is that there aren't many outlets in the rooms.

I had a great stay in this small hostel in Marseille. They're working on expanding the sanitary facilities to make it even better. Awesome vibe induced by enthousiastic staff members who were available all day every day. Many thanks to Eugene, Julien, Samwise and the girls. I'll try to come back in summer!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The atmosphere was great for meeting people, it was clean, and good value for the price. The only problem was a lack of showers and toilets, but they are working on it! Staff was great, and to be hOnest I think Annemarie was the absolute cutest person on earth, and I secretly had the biggest crush of my life on her--anyways, I digress, would highly recommend this hostel!

The best thing about this hostel are the super friendly staff. It's easy to overlook minor flaws in the hostel because of the extremely friendly staff who included you in activities and made you feel like part of the Hello Marseille family. Beautiful people.
