Only 1 toilet per floor. 2 small showers with 1 sink in the bathroom. Only 4 plug sockets in a 6 person room. No reading lights in room just 1 main light. Hostel is on the 3rd floor, with no lift. Had to wheel my suitcase up stairs, which wouldn't have been too difficult if there were lights on the hall where the stairs were. Wouldn't reccomed this hostel.

This was my second stay, just a quick stop through this time but it's a great place, the staff are lovely and the location is great for exploring Marseille. Recommended for sure

Great place! Near the Train Station St. Charles, and several most see points of the city. Good beds, good people and they try to do their best for us. English, French, Spanish and other languages spoken. The kitchen has all you need! You have several supermarkets near the Hostel. The breakfast is simple, but you'll have something in your stomach :D

The people at Hello Marseille Hostel were really amazing! Great staff and fellow backpackers who made me feel really at home. It was always fun and we made friends and even travelled out to place together. We cooked together at night as well, it was just brilliant. It might be a little difficult to find the hostel at the start, but just follow the directions given, strictly, and you'll find the place. Look out for a small letterbox along the street that has the Hello Marseille Logo on it.

It was a wonderful stay in Marseille and and even more wonderful stay at Hello Marseille. The staff is very well informed about the city and guided us in a right direction to learn the history and culture of the place. The location is also great its right in centre and close to everything. Facilities are excellent.

The common area is arranged in such a way that guests are likely to interact, make friends and have a great time. Take advantage of that and put more effort into the delicate details such as bathrooms and noice. Greetings!!

great location near the port, lots of bars and a few clubs close by. I didn't enjoy having to move rooms without notice but it ended up alright. the kitchen was great with everything you need to cook a meal from scratch. I would stay here again

For the price, Hello Marseille Hostel is a good place to stay. Located in the centre of the city, there are numerous pubs and eateries within walking distance. The staff at the hostel is great and the facilities are adequate. The living room hosts communal dinners and is a good spot for meeting new people. The only negative I experienced was that my room's lockers were not all in tact: the result was that I had no secure space to store my valuables, pardon handing them over to staff members.

The staff was extremely friendly & helpful!! Very open to conversation, sharing, and giving advice! Every day there are recommended activities posted on a whiteboard by entrance...found it to be very useful during my stay. The beds are extra comfy and there is always a warm, family feel in the common areas. WiFi worked great! Staff members speak several languages, making communication easy & accessible to anyone. Great place, highly recommended!!!

It was ok- it was cheap which is all we cared about but when you book for a 6bed dorm and they tell you you can't has it due to renovations- that sucks. ended up sleeping in a dorm with about 15 others instead. The place is not the cleanest but hey it was cheap and smack bang in a good spot of town

Hello Marseille was in a great location within walking distance of all the places we wanted to go. The common area was one of the best we have seen and great for making new friends. Our only complaint was the limited toilet and shower facilities. We had one toilet and two showers between three dorm rooms and the 10 odd staff that lived on the level below the hostel. The dorm rooms were quite nice and the lock up cupboards under the bed are very useful. Very happy with Hello Marseille overall!

I loved the openness of HelloMarseille. The "grand room" and open kitchen allowed for the guests to get to know one another, which isn't always the case at hostels. Also really enjoyed that this hostel is aimed towards a younger audience (aka backpackers) where a girl traveling alone felt more comfortable and the age difference isn't too extreme. The staff was great and the hostel was pretty clean for how much activity there was.
