Location made it easy to walk anywhere. The staff was friendly. The activities that were offered were excellent (walking tours/take you to the club with a free admission on one night)

This is a great hostel. It is close to the beach and within walking (15min.) distance to major monuments. The security is great and the staff is amazing! You will feel very connected and have many opportunities to do a lot at this hostel (Including bike rentals). This is a great place if you want a quiet and party atmosphere. There is also laundry and a free breakfast that is average. You can also do cooking in the kitchen.

A slightly soulless and sterile place but with good facilties and location, and a cheap bar. Popular with the under-25 Anglo crowd who travel the world to get drunk in new places. Good communal areas, though a bit rowdy in the evenings. Staff reported they weren't getting paid which is pretty shameful. Cleaner yelled at us for not speaking Spanish.

The hostel was just a few minutes walk from everything. The staff were sooo helpful in suggestions of things to do. There are security lockers in each of the rooms which is nice. There was a real hostel feel and you're able to meet tons of people in the common room. There is amazing WIFI connection!! Fast and works!! There is laundry service too !! The bathrooms were communal ... the showers a bit small.. but it's expected with the fact that its a hostel. Overall amazing and I totally recommend

Stay here in twin en suite was GREAT! People who work there are very nice, helpful, and sociable. Everyone (including guests) were respectful of each other and space. Hostel is safe, clean, and centrally located. Neighborhood perhaps a bit sketchy but literally one block away, you're practically downtown/surrounded by tourists. Highly recommend, would stay here if I go back to Barcelona.

I really didn't like the bathrooms. The showers only stayed on for about 30 second and you had to keep pushing the button. That was really frustrating. Also there was no place to undress or change. You either changed in the actual shower, getting your clothes yet, or changed in the bathroom where anyone can walk in. I didn't like that in the least, especially since the cleaning lady walked in when I was showering, which was early for the her to be there, as many people would be showering then.

Everything was adequate. It had and did everything that you'd expect from a hostel.

Great place to stay, clean, secure and with a really good set up for meeting people, trips and nights out. Rooms are decent and have large lockers. Staff are very helpful, welcoming and willing to share tips on the city.

The cleanest hostel I've stayed in, appreciated the lockers, the staff was super friendly and helpful, great location, and free breakfast. For what I paid I got a lot more! Hello BCN is set apart from other hostels with extra events and soirées put on by the staff.

The location is very convenient, close to the metro. We booked the 4 Female room, which is a little bit small to be honest. And the staff is not so friendly as those we met in Warsaw.

The staff were great; we showed up with no money after being robbed, and they said we could pay the next day when we had our financial situation sorted out, and the Australian guy at the bar gave us a free pint for our troubles. The wristwatch security system was fantastic, and they had someone manning the front desk right at the door at all times with security camera footage right in front. The rooms were fine, had a solid sleep. Also really close to a metro station which was handy.

Hello BCN is, if not the best value for money hostel the city has to offer, at least very close to it. This hostel is clean, has an attractive set of facilities, a fairly good location and the staff is impecable and very helpful - these people know what they are doing. However, as a matter of personal opinion, I found this hostel efficient, but lacking in confort or personality. Definitely not the kind of hostel that mekes you feel like you are at home, and that's important to me.

Hey to Brendan and Pete, they were good blokes. Good hostel, which is a bit cheaper than Kabul but u do have to walk a bit further but it was not that far to the bar areas and old town. Great to have a bar in the hostel and I can imagine in summer it would be ridiculous. Barcelona rules!!
