There were alot of break ins whilst I was at the hostel, which was concerning. I didn't find the place particularly special in any way. I asked amember of staff where would be the best place to go as I only had one day, I waited for 10 minutes at the desk whilst she sat at the computer saying she would be a second I then asked her the same question again, she then said "everywhere " oh great, no directions, no reccomendations, not what I would expect from a place promoting the people as its USP

A very good hostel. Clean comfortable beds and linens, handy electronic wrist key for access to the hostel and a spacious locker in your room, good common areas. Some of the staff is more knowledgeable than others. It's a big hostel so it might be harder to create community; on the other hand it's nice to have lots of different people to meet and talk to. Areas for improvement: breakfast - just bread, jams, cereal, milk, tea/coffee - couldn't they at least spring for fruit?!

If you get the honour of staying in this hostel, let me assure you, you will have a great time. Mike the OZ guy showed me along with the group flea markets. He is so keen, that he waits for people to turn up to show them around. If you feel like smoking invite him over, not only you will enjoy the conversation but may also be lucky for him to make you a rollie. Chad, he is the guy who will ensure you are having a good time ranging from drinks at the bar to gathering the enthusiastic...

Great hostel ! Helpful staff and good location, very close to the famous rambla! There is a bar with cheap beer, a ping pong table and all you need to enjoy your stay. We definitely recommend!

This is definitely a party hostel, which means there is a ton of noise at night. On the other hand they're close to the old quarter and give good recommendations for what to visit during the day. It was also clean, but the dorm I stayed in was a four people shoebox, plus lockers.

The staff was really friendly and knowledgeable - it's a pretty accessible location, which is helpful. They have lots of events, so it was easy to meet people. I was travelling alone, but the staff was always willing to help out and give advice on places to eat and things to do. Definitely recommended.

Great hostel - good facilities and a fantastic location. Chad (on the bar) and Mike are brilliant, they are really friendly, make an effort to chat and get people involved and get something happening every night - some times an activity and always take you to a club. Brilliant for meeting people and always fun. Comfy, clean and fun.

In general it was all good. I would give a GOOD to the service but unfortunately I will not because of the Italian girl at the reception. Her idea of taking care of the clients is very poor....it looked like her friends were more important than attending the clients and was very rude when she finally decided to talk to me after standing for nearly 5 mins right next to her in the reception and she talking to her friends.

The hostel is very hip and looks as it is quite new. The location is good (not in the old town, though) and the staff seemed very friendly and caring. They also have everything you might need: information about famous objects, free wifi, free use of computers, organized sightseeing tours, a bar, many discounts, etc. We also loved the idea to use a bracelet as a key (it is very comfortable and difficult to lose!). However, the breakfast was a bit poor and showers lacked privacy a bit..

A good place to stay. Staff was very helpful, informed us about the free tour and transporatation. We received room/locker keys as a watch, it was convinient. They had computers for a free use with internet (the internet was a bit slow)... It was loud on the first floor, but the room on a secont floor was quiter with books and couches.

3rd time staying at this hostel for obvious reasons - always great staff, secure, it's clean and the lounge area is my fav w/ easygoing bar staff, good music and great atmosphere. A big plus is that the hostel arrange club nights every night at the week which means you not only get a nice time hanging out with other hostel guest, you also get free entry to clubs :) The only not so good is that the rooms are VERY small (stayed in a 4 bed), and there's only 1 small kitchen for the entire hostel.
