I really liked this hostel! the Staff was awesome, they had free computer, everything was very clean and organized. They had activities for the day with people from hostel, a good way to make friends and then go out at night also with the help of somebody from the hostel. I enjoyed my time there and would reccomend to my friends.

A nice clean, secure hostel. A little way from the main attractions but easy enough walk. Would have liked more suggestions from the staff about what to do in Barcelona.

I really liked that there were free organized activities by the staff including taking us to the Earth Day Festival and to the clubs at night. It really brought people together.

I liked this hostel as it was very secure. I like the fact they give you bracelet keys to get in everywhere including your locker. That way you dont worry about losing it! The atmosphere was a bit boring and not ver good for meeting people. The staff was pleasant but some of the girls looked like they much rather be doing something else instead of helping you.The location is not that bad as the paralel metro is very close and your only a couple of metro stops to all major sites.

Although the room was a little small, the locker was large enough. The showers were ok because you would need to push every 15 seconds to have watery which was annoying when you were washing your hair... The staff was nice and helpful. Had good basic breakfast. Well located and easy to find.

Staff: nice, friendly and helpful. Problematic wifi, no access in rooms, in the lobby often no access, as well and if access then very very poor performance - annoying. Rooms could be redecorated, old uncomfortable mattresses. Unconvenient access to the ensuite bathrooms only with an electronic key, if you forget it you are trapped in the bathroom. Very annoying shower, water is coming out to close to the wall and with a push button where the water is gone after 15 to 20 sec., very loud at night

The hostel is located at a prime location and hence is great...the reception people are very friendly and help you with anything you ask...they organize going to famous pubs in the night after 11 PM which is probably unique....everything is perfect about the hostel except the bathrooms...i did not like the bathroom..though the cleanliness in the rooms is good...

HelloBCN was a great place to stay at a reasonable price. Offering something to do everyday and only 15 minutes from the main drag.

I loved the neighborhood around the hostel, especially if you go further back from Paral-lel into the less touristy areas. Mike's walking tours were also a great (free!) way to see the local sights like Mount Montjuic. The beds and bathrooms are just average, but the meeting areas are designed well and really facilitate meeting new people.

Perhaps I just went at a bad time (during Semana Santa) but the staff mishandled my reservation because of a problem with their computer. They had overbooked and kept changing my room.

This hostel was fantastic. The staff was friendly and willing to help, they had more information on things to do/see than you could ever possibly get done in one stay, which gave us so many options! Great deals on shows and entrance into certain clubs as well as free tours of the city and other sites. They have a fun atmosphere where everyone can just hang out as well as lockers in the room that you do not have to pay extra for. The best hostel I have stayed at so far!

Had an amazing time here and was able to meet lots of people from all over the world. Great environment! the only downside was the kitchen is small so cooking at dinner time can be difficult.

I stayed in a girls' 4 bed room. Really good experience overall. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The hostel felt very safe and the electronic room and locker locks was very cool. The staff was friendly and gave great advice on what to see. It was noisy until late at night (people hang out on the first floor and I could hear them on the 3rd floor), so bring ear plugs.

The location is excellent, near the main tourist and pedestrian thoroughfares. Very close is a Metro subway station that can get you anywhere you'd like to go. The staff are extremely helpful and kind. We rented a private room and the beds, mattresses, and provided towels were all clean and decent. The room had a private WC, which was in excellent condition. The keys to enter are on watch bands, look like watches, and have the address of the hostel so a drunken traveler is never lost.

I have nothing bad to say about this hostel. Everything was great, especially the staff. They were so helpful and fun. They do interesting tours and excursions everyday and try to not make them too touristy. Definitely stay here!

I had a GREAT time, the staff/volunteers are really friendly and helpful. I loved how they mingled with the guests, and provided restaurant and activity suggestions. They also plan daily activities, and each night there is a club that hostel guests have free access to! The security is outstanding, as they have wrist keys that are used to enter the hostel, your room, and for your security locker. Common room/bar/kitchen are perfect for meeting people, I would stay here again, highly recommended!
