Amazing hostel. Super helpful/fun staff, and takes you to clubs every night for free. Plus, amazing security lockers. Would definitely recommend.

excellent place. Nice location, really safe. they give you a watch-like key and with that you go into the hostel and your room and open your locker. Very clean. Every night they take you out to clubs for free son you pay no entry. The staff was really helpful and cool

The hostel is in a good location Amazing that it comes with all the things you usually pay extra for :) win! Only complaint was that using the toilets at 6am was very difficult as the lights must be on a timer and they were off! Pitch black peeing! Otherwise everything was lovely ta! Would defo stay again

Owner Comment (Show)
No timers for the lights in the bathroom. We do however turn the lights off if there is no one in the bathroom :-) You just need to flick the switch to turn the lights on again! See you again next time!

Best hostel I have ever been to. They got everyone free admission to opium, one of the best clubs, if not the best in barcelona. Plus, they have breakfast, a gym, and everyone has their own locker. Simply amazing

Best hostel I've stayed at! Everything was perfect.... great atmosphere and such a great place to stay in beautiful Barcelona. Very close to Las Ramblas and the beach. Close to the metro. Free wifi. Helpful staff and friendly people! Overall, I had a great stay. I definitely recommend this hostel to young travelers who are looking to have a rad time in Barcelona!!

The hostel was: JUST OK. The location wasn't the best (was not very bad though) The staff was much less energized then you expect about whom is working in a such a cool place as Barcelona The rooms and bathrooms were clean; The shower was very good; The breakfast was good; The internet was very good.. For me the main problem about the hostel was the atmosphere, that was "just ok" (i mean, kind a boring) and Barcelona is much more than a "just ok" city, was kind unfair...

Enjoyable experience. Professional staff, good security, but the air conditioning in the rooms were not sufficient and the noise from the streets were disruptive to sleep.

It's a big hostel, and it has a good infrastructure. It's also near the best tourist places in Barcelona and they can provid every information that you need to get around. Every nigth staff member take us to a free club. I also met a lot of nice people in there. I realy recomend.

If you like big impersonal hostels where the staff act like talking to you is a favor this place is for you. Naziesque rules for everything. No outside alcohol allowed means you have to hide in your room to drink or buy it from the bar.

I really liked the bracelet where you (and you only) can open your locker, besides room and hostel door. I also liked that there was a bar. It's not an alcoholic comment, is just that a bar makes easier to socialize and get to know other guests. On that note, it was great also to have these night dates organized by the hostel. it was fun to go out with the people from the hostel and easier to go this way. a couple of times the bathroom needed refill with toilet paper, but were clean overall.

Very good to meet other people, although I wasn't into that. Security was the best I've seen. Big electronic lockers in every room. Placed in a good but extremely noisy neighbourhood and near a metro station. Three out of four staff members I met were as friendly as possible. Free and fast WiFi. Breakfast was rich enough. Bathrooms were clean and sized accordingly, so I never had to wait for a shower even though the hostel was full for the weekend. Overall impression: quite good! I'd come back.

Great atmosphere, people in the hostel know how to have fun. We were there Saturday, and they provided a organized "trip" to the night club, which is great, because it wouldn't be easy to find. They have a great security thing with your wrist bands, which opens the main door, room door, and lockers. The hostel is really BIG, and you will deffinitelly meet some people if you want... If you want a fun hostel, highly reccomend. However, if you want to relax and rest, try somewhere else...

We enjoyed the location because it was a 2 min walk to the metro and you can easily walk to Las Ramblas too. The only thing was the cleaning. We wish we had the option to have it or not. We would be disturbed with it when we were trying to relax. We just had a lot of things and they don't allow stuff on the floor for luggage. The security was very cool. They have bracelets they have you wear and it acts as your room key, locker key,and key to get inside the hostel.

I loved the atmosphere at the hostel and found that all the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was also located at a strategic area that was close to La Ramblas and the metro station. My only con about this hostel is that it is located close to an area call Raval which I heard from a local Barcelona is dangerous and creepy. I happened to have walked through this area one night unknowingly on my way back to the hostel and got so creeped out!

Clean well located hostel. Rooms are small but have nice large storage lockers. The staff wasn't overly friendly and I had to ask for a map and some suggestions. I was really interested in the 'gym' they described, but it was a tiny room with two machines basically used for storage. They had activities going on but as a single traveller i found there to be so many people that it wasn't as welcoming of an environment as other smaller hostels.

Great hostel experience. I stayed both here and Sant Jordi Alberg. They are both amazing hostels and you can´t go wrong, but HelloBCN is definitely the better of the two for staff and meeting people. Thanks for a great stay.
