Absolutely fantastic apartment and helpful, friendly owner. There was 3 of us, we had an open plan apartment on the 2nd floor with 2 rooms, 2 balconies, a kitchen, shower and separate toilet. The apartment was well decorated, extremely clean and spacious. I would not change a thing, and will definitely be coming back here and recommending it to friends. Compared to a hostel, this place is fantastic value and we did not share our room with anybody. Thanks to the owner (Greg)for a fantastic stay.

Cannot fault the place! The owner is lovely - very helpful. The facilities are excellent - kettle, microwave, balcony, chairs in the room, table, tea bags etc.,double-headed shower & bath. The cleanliness of the place was exceptionally high - lovely duvets and pillows. The location is in a lovely district of Amsterdam not very far from the centre and close to places like House of Bols, Van Gogh museum, Heineken experience and Vondelpark. We will definitely use this place again the next time we go!!

My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Helmers Inn. Greg was very organised regarding our arrival time at meeting us at the property, he was very friendly, helpful and gave us some great info on the neighborhood. Although not right in the centre of Amsterdam it was always a pleasant walk into the centre, but we mostly enjoyed being able to retreat back and the neighborhood was so nice as well. Our room was clean, cosy and very comfortable, and the bathroom and 'kitchen amenities were great too!

Very nice and small Hostel, perfect for Vacations in Amsterdam. Very welcoming and nice innskeeper.

We had a wonderful stay at the Helmers Inn. It was centrally located, so we could walk everywhere, but it was very quiet at night. The only slight disappointment was that the terrace (which we paid extra for) only had a view of the near-by supermarket's roof! But would definitely come again and recommend it to friends.

Location was excellent. Room large and clean. Greg was very nice and pointed out some local sites for us. We wanted to stay an extra day, but he was out of town and couldn't be reached. All in all, it was a great place to stay!

Spacious comfortable accomodation in a residential area within walking distance of the centre of Amsterdam. Facilities include a a cooker, fridge and microwave. Greg the owner was helpful and friendly supplying a map and guidance on places to visit and good places to eat. My sons enjoyed using the play station and we enjoyed watching one of the DVD's . Hiring the bikes from Greg was easy and we had fun exploring the city. A great place to stay.

The Inn was a good place to sleep in a typically amsterdam's house. The neighbourhood is quiet & not to touristic. In the room there is a microwave & a fridge. The room is very bright there is not shutter fo window.

Since our train left really late in the evening on our check-out day, we were able to leave our luggage to the inn for the day. That was very very nice. Really nice and clean hostel!

Greg, the housekeeper, is a very nice person. He gave us a map of Amsterdam while marking some nice parts of it. It's very close to Leidseplein which is the nicest place to chillout. Helmers-Inn is a good place to stay in Amsterdam.

After spending 5€ on a phone card and 6.2€ for tram tickets to the inn (on a student budget), we waited for 45 minutes at the front door in the cold without being met. Arranged other accommodations, the cheapest being 200€ for two nights (an event had all hotels asking top prices). Voicemails were left on my phone in the U.S.

Hi Ken, It is a mirakle to me how you could wright such a comment. After let me waiting hours for you to show up, you called (with a private number) from the Central Station to tell you are on your way to our apartment. When i tryed to call you back to tell youi could not make it, i was in a meeting, you didn't take your U.S. phone.. How could i reach you and why you did not try to reach me? 99% of our guests, who realy stayed at us are very happy, you did not even gave it a try. Regards, Greg.
