We had a very pleasant experience in "Het Colettientje". The room was quite well-organized and clean, and the responsible lady was also quite nice and helpful. The breakfast was also very tasty! This hostel is very close to the main train station, and the walking distance from city center is comparatively short (10-15 mins). All in all, I rate this hostel as "excellent" and for sure it will be my first chioce whenever I want to go to Bruge again.

We chose this B&B because of al the good reviews on this website, but we were very disappointed. At night it was very, very cold. We had our clothes on, and were still shivering in our bed. The owner was very pushy, she told us what we had to do and see without giving us the chance to say we don't need her recommendations and want to figure it out for ourselves. The breakfast was not that good, very poor and way too salty. So for us it didn't meet the expectations, Brughes was great though!

Absolutely love this town and the B&B. As I'm pretty sure every reviewer on here has pointed out, Maria is awesome. She sits you down as soon as you get there and tells you what to do, which is really appreciated in a smaller town like Bruges. The huge omelettes she fixes for breakfast are delicious, especially after eating the normal european breakfasts which as normally cold. Would definitely stay here again on my visit back to Bruges!

The best traveling experience we've had to date. The accomodations floored our expectations (literally) with the loft room and the amenities were eat off the floor clean. By far the best part of this B&B however is the host Maria. The hospitality, culinary skill and genuine warmth available from this woman are uncontested in the Benelux. Even if you are far away from home you will enjoy all of its comforts at Het Colettientje. We wished we could have stayed longer! Andrea and Laura.

Our stay here was nothing short of perfect. Maria, the host, was delightful and suggested restaurants that turned out to be the best meals we ever had. We will recommend Bruges to everyone and recommend Maria's bed and breakfast to everyone! Her breakfasts are also great! Duck omelette was amazing!

Maria made the best breakfast, was warm, inviting, and had some of the best advice on Brugge (the Chocolate Museum is over-rated, but definitely do a tour of the brewery). We had to leave for our train very early, but Maria made us food to take with us. Who does that? Maria does, that's who! Very conveniently located right on a beautiful running path, behind a park, and a 10 minute walk from the train station. If you stay anywhere else in Brugge, you're missing out!

I picked this place based on the reviews. Overwhelmingly positive obviously. Maria seemed real cool. I was only worried about the privacy (shared bathroom) and the fact that Maria might be "too much" for me =) Fortunately, neither was an issue. Maria was friggin awesome. Just like the reviews, helps you out, tells you cool stuff, is super lovely, and her breakfast really is delicious. Maria was perfect. I didn't tire of her or get annoyed of her. It was a really great stay.

This place is a hidden diamond. The host Maria is extremely nice and kind, plans your stay if you want to and serves excellent homemade breakfast. She's also really kind and caring. We had a big room with TV,big and nice bed etc. The house was very clean and it really felt like staying in someone's home, in a good way! All the Maria's recommendations were accurate and of a good quality and the house was perfectly situated by a little park and 10 minutes walking for the main squares. 10 points!!

It's a nice place to spend a few days and Maria was more than helpful with the planning, so it was quite easy to figure anything out. The one thing I might complain about is that she was too helpful. The minute we arrived she insisted that she make us dinner reservations, and before we could answer she called up the restaurant. It was good, don't get me wrong, just one of the many examples when she could be a little pushy. Overall great experience and we would go back.

Our stay in Brugge was amazing! Het Colettientje owner Maria was wanderful host! We felt very welcome, we got all the touristic information from her .- places to eat, drink a beer, buy a chocolate and etc. House was very clean and bright. We stayed only one night but we had a feeling that we knew Maria for a long time. She was taking care of us like a mother :) We will defenetly recommend this place for all our friends. Great place to stay at Brugges. Very good conditions. It is located in the city center but in a very quiet area. Maria is a great host, with her warmth and life stories, she even helped us prepare out lunch for the next day. I recomend it!

We absolutely recomend it! Maria was very nice and caring, giving us a lot of advice about what to see, and what to avoid! The house is very nice, especially for people who like art! In walking distance form train station and city center. The rooms appropriate and clean. Only one bathroom, though. We had a great stay. Olalla from SPAIN

Maria is the kindest hostess ever. Her great hospitality, excellent home made breakfast and restaurant / attraction recommandation make our trip in Brugge special and memorable. Maria chatted with us every morning and has been very kind to us. Staying in there is more like staying in your grandma's house. Highly recommanded!!
