We spent 2 lovely nights in Bruges in this lovely B&B run by Maria, a warm, welcoming and genuine host who is continually delighted to have ' the world in her home' - and we felt very much a part of her family when we were there. The location is fantastic, and the city is perfect for a weekend. The room was big, clean and comfortable... and Maria prepared an amazing spread for breakfast, which we ate in her sunny back garden - a perfect start to the day!

We spent 10 days traveling thru Europe and this was our favorite stop. Maria is very gracious and hospitable. Het Colettientje is immaculate. Maria is a wonderful cook, gave us suggestions as to what to see and what to skip, provided maps and was genuinely interested in our comfort and satisfaction. We felt as if we were staying in Brugge with family.

A lovely location by Minnewater Park, easy to get to from the train station and close to the Beguinage. Maria was not around much, so did not offer much in the way of touring suggestions. Breakfast was great.

My family of four stayed at Maria's home for a night. She is THE BEST HOST we've ever met in our B&B experience! The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable. She make you feel just right at home and gave us plenty of great tips about where to eat, shop, take pictures, buy chocolate, drink beer. Its very near the train station and city center. Maria also makes yummy breakfast (her homemade jam fantastic!). We really enjoyed our stay as she had everything taken care of i.e. towels, showers, umbrellas.

The host was such a lovely lady! The first thing she did for us when we arrived was she sat us down at her dining room table, pulled out a travel-size map for us and drew on it everywhere we should go in Brugge. She also recommended her favorite local restaurants, and even went as far as to call one of the restaurants to reserve a table for our group! If you want an authentic and local experience of Brugge, come to this B&B! Only downside is that there is no Internet / WiFi.

Maria is such a wonderful host! She was so helpful to us and made everything so easy, comfortable, and warm. We will absolutely return to Bruges again, but only if we can stay with Maria!

This was easily my favorite place I stayed while abroad this semester. Maria is one of the nicest women I have ever met. She told my friend and me all the best places to go in Bruges, and we were never disappointed. She also makes the best breakfast bread and THE BEST coffee in the entire world. She is very accommodating and her house is comfortable. I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone who wants a relaxing, safe, charming getaway!

We had a very pleasant experience in "Het Colettientje". The room was quite well-organized and clean, and the responsible lady was also quite nice and helpful. The breakfast was also very tasty! This hostel is very close to the main train station, and the walking distance from city center is comparatively short (10-15 mins). All in all, I rate this hostel as "excellent" and for sure it will be my first chioce whenever I want to go to Bruge again.

We chose this B&B because of al the good reviews on this website, but we were very disappointed. At night it was very, very cold. We had our clothes on, and were still shivering in our bed. The owner was very pushy, she told us what we had to do and see without giving us the chance to say we don't need her recommendations and want to figure it out for ourselves. The breakfast was not that good, very poor and way too salty. So for us it didn't meet the expectations, Brughes was great though!

Absolutely love this town and the B&B. As I'm pretty sure every reviewer on here has pointed out, Maria is awesome. She sits you down as soon as you get there and tells you what to do, which is really appreciated in a smaller town like Bruges. The huge omelettes she fixes for breakfast are delicious, especially after eating the normal european breakfasts which as normally cold. Would definitely stay here again on my visit back to Bruges!

The best traveling experience we've had to date. The accomodations floored our expectations (literally) with the loft room and the amenities were eat off the floor clean. By far the best part of this B&B however is the host Maria. The hospitality, culinary skill and genuine warmth available from this woman are uncontested in the Benelux. Even if you are far away from home you will enjoy all of its comforts at Het Colettientje. We wished we could have stayed longer! Andrea and Laura.
