When I first arrived at the hostel I felt immediately welcomed, and the staff were extremely friendly and outgoing. The atmosphere of the place is very vibrant and positive, and it's clear that everyone is there to have a good time. The themed nights are a lot of fun, and the drinking games every night are a great way to get the night started right and meet a lot of people. I had an awesome time at the Hi 5 Party'ish Hostel and I will absolutely be visiting there again!

This is equivalent to a frat house...the most disgusting frat house you have ever been to... I booked two nights and after sleeping on my jacket the first night I woke up at 7am to walk to another hostel to see if there were open beds there. The staff said they were going through changes with the owner and doing construction.... if thats the reason why it was so horrible.... shut the place down for two weeks and reopen when it is liveable. I cant believe it was rated 96% when I booked

When booking, was not aware it was under construction. It was a mess, piles of concrete everywhere. Our beds were right next to a stinking toilet and as it was like a cubicle, with gaps above the door, we could hear other guests p*ssing and sh*tting. Nice. The showers were small and unhygienic and one was just a massive pile of concrete, very safe indeed. We decided to stay only for their free bar crawl, which was really good fun. But left first thing in the morning to find another hostel.

Had such an amazing stay at this hostel, the staff really make you feel welcome and included in everything. They organise lots of evening activities, so you'll never be bored. Such a nice place to meet new friends and generally have a great time whilst in Budapest. I will definitely be coming back!

Hostel had an great feel to it, largely thanks to the staff who worked very hard to make the place comfortable for all of the guests. Meeting your cotravellers is pretty much guaranteed and the advice of the staff was excellent.

A fairly typical hostel for Budapest it seems: run by hedonistic adolescents who are firmly engrained in their own exclusive social clique. If you're not a big drinker and don't like getting wasted on pub crawls every night I'd recommend staying somewhere else. Also, nothing is particularly clean - the smell that assaults you when you come in the gate is akin to rotting animal corpses but thankfully it's only contained to one area. Very, very cheap though. The 2 euro dinners are a nice bonus.

Helpful extremely friendly employees! Fun outings skillfully led by the staff! Be sure to come for a weekend and go to a Saturday night spa party. Loved everything about this place and hope to return again some day.

This is the first time ive felt compelled to write a review for a hostel. I booked only 3 nights here and extended to 7 nights. I've been traveling around the world for about 7 months now, this is country number 9 for me, and probably over the hundredth hostel ive stayed at. Firstly, the staff. From the moment I stepped into the hostel I was greeted by warm, friendly staff whom were treating me like a friend and not another random guest that they push through person after person.

The stay at High 5 hostel was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful with directions and things to do. The louge area was nice and comfortable with movie nights and even a Star Wars Marathon on a rainy day. Showers and toilets were clean and plentiful and the bunks all had privacy curtains. Free pool table too! Really cool hostel if you want to party or just relax.

Amazing hostel. Planned events every night so there's always something to do but never any pressure that you had to drink. Meal available each night was quite good. Location is within walking distance to most things. Only had to take the metro once. Staff is excellent and Avery beagle is the greatest. Highly recommend. Heads up there is a bar across the street so it can be a bit noisy at night, but thats nothing a pair of earplugs cant solve.
