In general the hostel is nice enough. However if you want more out of Budapest then parties you should stay somewhere else. When I asked questions about attractions in the city or public transit the young adults working the front counter, most of who don't originate from the area, didn't have any answers for me.

I don't know where to begin with this hostel. Staying at Hi 5 was one of the most fun parts of my entire semester abroad. I fell in love with the staff members there and returned to Budapest a second time pretty much just to hang out with them. There is always something going on, and the staff are really inclusive of everyone in the hostel. They know all the best bars. Budapest is a wonderful city and the staff are really helpful in recommending activities! I wish I could stay forever!

Our 4 bed room mixed room is NOT a typical lockable room - it's basically a dorm. On our floor, each room was connected to one another without a hallway, so to get to the last room, one must walk through the prior two rooms to get there. This is fine, but i think it should be disclosed in case you wanted a more 'private' room when traveling with 4 people.

This Hostel was amazing. It was my best trip yet and i will be coming back. If you have any doubts about hostels forget them at Hi-5. It is a clean hostel with a fun loving friendly staff. The atmosphere spreads good times and i would recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to have a great experience

I guess we were warned, but it's really hard to get some decent sleep in the hostel. Every night and morning we were woken up by puking people, drunk people, shouting people. But I guess it comes with the "party" hostel mandate ! Really recommendable if you want to party every night and not sleep that much. If you'd rather have some decent sleep, I'd suggest to go elsewhere. But for the rest, the atmosphere was really welcoming, the people really nice and the party opportunities always present!

Very loud. Avoid if you want to sleep. Great if you want to party though. There were problems with the front doors also. It depends what you are after I guess.

I am so happy the name is party'ish hostel! This place was amazing! I really enjoyed the hostel, the people I met, and the location! Every night they had some hostel activity which was always fun and a great way to see Budapest. I would highly recommend staying at Hi5.

Hi 5 had a great atmosphere and the staff was awesome! Their common area is really cozy and makes it easy to meet others staying at the hostel. Unfortunately, it wasn't the cleanest hostel, but I have seen much worse. I would definitely recommend it none the less. The location, I think, is pretty perfect, especially if you are interested in the "ruin bars" at all!

How to sum up Hi 5 in 500 characters or less... Utopia? Seriously though, this is the best hostel a traveler can hope to stumble upon: great location, free breakfast, tea, coffee, towels and of course those trendy little wrist-watch locks. As great as the freebies might seem, it's without a doubt the staff that separates Hi 5 from other good hostels. To dislike them is to dislike mankind. Some advice- just go ahead and book for a week; you're going to stay that long anyway. See you all soon.

Very good for young people who want to party a lot. The staff of the hostel were also young people who want to party a lot, they were very friendly and outgoing, and they organize a lot of activities to do together, specially at night. The location of the hostel is good, close to the centre, the only bad thing (or good in some cases) is that it's in front of some big bars, so there's a lot of people and noise all the night but it's a safe street also.

Amazing hostel. Great staff - knowledgeable about the city, put on awesome nights out and just genuinely good people. Rooms are great - the curtains on the beds are a nice touch. Everything is clean. Love that the towels are free and big. Went for a long weekend away on my own and didn't want to leave. Thank you for an epic trip.

A wonderful hostel with a great social vibe! They organise lots of activities and events to help meet other travellers and have a good time. A good balance of day and night time fun, with the staff always ready to make suggestions and even go out and do things with you!
