Definitely the best hostel Ive ever stayed at! As soon as I walked in the staff made me feel right at home and were so welcoming. After a few days I felt like part of the family. It has a really cool vibe with the perfect balance of going out and chilling during the day. The location is awesome with pretty much everything in walking distance + the staff know what they are talking about and are always around to help you out. Also the curtains around the beds are great for privacy and sleeping in

This is by far the best hostel I have stayed at. As soon as you walk in the door the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I found it to be a good mix of party and relaxing like how they take you out on free pub crawls every night and then during the day you can relax in the common room watching movies on the huge couches, or if you want to get out and see Budapest they are excellent at helping you find something to do. In the end Hi 5 felt like my home and I will definatly be coming back.

I've come back multiple times and stayed for months because this place is just like a home away from home. They know exactly what to do in Budapest during the day, occasionally doing things like caving and epic snowball fights during the day and taking everyone to the best bars and parties at night. The staff, Jacob, James, cam etc. are like family now. Couldn't recommend more highly. You have to stay here!!!

It was a nice experience. There was a few things I didn't like there thou. As other people mentioned about, the rooms have old windows and draft gets through also the it's very noisy. The entrance and stairs are a bit weird and all the doors make a terrible noise. All the staff team is friendly or at least they try to show that. Overall it's a nice place and I would highly recommend it to young category of travellers.

Amazing hostel! Great family vibe, awesome staff who got amongst it all. Gave options for things to do every day and night. Great parties :) sooo much fun! Will be back.

Nice location,very helpful staff and good wifi connection. The only problem was the weird way that the rooms are disposed. We paid for a private room for 2 and we had to go throught 2 other rooms to get to ours, and we couldnt lock our door. Besides that everything was ok. Good value for money!

I travelled Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest on this trip and stayed in 4 different hostels, this was by far the best hosteling experience I have ever had. They were extremely friendly and helpful and the hostel was very cosy - like a home away from home. The building itself has a great Budapest charisma and the rooms / toilets were up to the mark. The best was the common area - pool table, foozball & movie nights. Partying with the hostel staff rocked and they organised something for everyone.

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which was great. Seems like a great place to be if you want to meet people and party. The major problem we had with this place was trying to sleep. I am by no means anti-funtimes, but we came the day after New Years and were exhausted from an all-nighter. Our dorm faced the street and the windows were so thin. It literally sounded like we were lying in the middle of a crowded bar. We didn't sleep at all for two nights straight, which was brutal.

The Hostel is a very good choice if you are in Budapest and want to party! The staff arranges drinking games every evening and they know where to party (and they are very happy to show you ;-) ) Unfortunately you can´t lock the doors, which means everyone staying at the hostel can enter your room anytime. There are lockers which are free of charge, but who can fit his or her whole stuff in one locker??? The bathroom was quite dirty which was caused by some unknown people using it.

Though I spent only a few hours in the hostel, I was really impressed with the helpful nature of the staff - they are present at all times of the day to attend to the needs of the guests. One of the female members (in the morning of 29th Dec '12) - she was extremely helpful in providing me with the directions of a bus station . She recommended that taxi was not worth it and meticulously pointed out the station, the train, what to avoid, etc on the map at 3 in the morning. Very pleasant experienc

This is the best hostel I have stayed in so far. The staff is so friendly that you immediately feel like you are among your old friends . It was a lot of fun partying with these guys as they know the best spots in the city and take you to out for drinks everyday!!. The owner "Jeremiah" treated me like his personal guest and it was a great feeling. Would love to come back to budapest and stay with you Hi5 again!! Hi5!!

Easily the best hostel i have stayed in Europe over 9 months of travel. I enjoyed it so much i had extended my stay from a couple of days to a month and then returned again to spend another week over the christmas period with my High-5 family! The hostel is an awesome location and central to everything you need, the rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. The value for money is unbeatable, the staff are super friendly and helpful, a fantastic atmosphere for meeting fellow travellers!

I enjoyed my stay at Hi 5 Hostel. My group was very well received and there was plenty to do every night at the hostel. There was a really welcoming vibe from the moment we arrived. There is a lounge area that has a huge TV, video games and comfy seating. The rooms also have really nice art all over, and when you leave you can Hi 5 the wall in paint and sign it. Hi 5 Hostel definitely did it right.
