Our room was a bit dim and dingy and it didn't have a window and there were cigarette burns in our sheets. Free breakfast was okay and the lady at the reception was helpful and spoke good English which some of the staff didn't. Wifi worked okay, untill it didn't and we used a free wi-fi of another hotel. All in all it was good value for money though.
Very narrow ladder, yet they have elevator. Rooms are small but clean and tidy. Aircon, tv and brilliant stuff!
Really nice room and bathroom - very clean and AMAZINGLY comfy beds! Staff were very helpful and the location is decent. Not much more to say about it, there wasn't a great atmosphere but we weren't expecting that with a private room anyway - we would definitely stay again.
You get what you pay for here. Our room was small, extremely damp and smelled very unpleasent. The shower tap had rusted and fell off and the bath, which you had to stand in to shower, rocked back and forth as you moved around. Definite plus sides are the inclusion of breakfast and towels but I wouldn't stay here again.
Friendly and helpful staff, well located in the center of old quarter. But rooms not really clean, bugs in the bed and on the floor, we changed room the other was okay, but with broken AC leaking all over the floor. We booked a tour to Halong/Cat Ba and really didn't get what we expected. But by all means, you get what you pay for. Cheap rates, you can't expect luxurious stay.

Great location and great room! beakfast was good too. the staff was good, but because of all the reviews i expected some miracleworkers. They just do their job, nothing more, nothing less. You can book tickets and tours as well, just don't forget they also charge commission and taxes. Bad points: a rat in the kitchen, closed doors when coming back after midnight (they sleep in front of the door though) and cold water in the shower. Overall: would recommend it.
Best hostel I ever stayed in southeast Asia... Best service with a smile and best free breakfast. Couldn't believe it, loved it. Very clean and discreet. It doesn't look like a hotel from outside, but inside it does, also tour service. Just a perfect place to chill in Hanoi Vietnam. Highly recommended... :)
Overall a fantastic hostel and great value for Money. Hanoi was our first stop on our 3 months of travelling and of course we were feeling very apprehensive about what we were going to experience. The hostel staff are extremely friendly, we arranged a pick up from the airport which was good, they booked out Ha Long Bay tour and our bus ticket for the whole of Vietnam. Location is okay, everything was walkable. Only slight problem was the rooms were quite dark but very clean.
