It was decent. Slightly lacking in character though, and a bit aways from the center of town. The facilities were mostly good and clean, but the room was a bit on the cold side (about 20C.) Only major complaint was that the bathroom was so small that I couldn't sit down on the toilet properly.

This hotel is very far from the city center and the major sights in Harbin--it takes at least forty minutes to get there by bus (although the bus station is right out front of the hotel). The place is clean and there are plenty of computers in the lobby, along with a pool table, fuseball, and an xbox that all require a deposit, but the staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. No or very limited English spoken by the staff, so if you don't speak Chinese that might be a problem. Rooms are TINY

The stay was ok - it is more a hotel than a hostel, but the rates are like in a hostel. The double room with a bathroom is very small, but ok if you want to stay 1/2 nights. Wifi works, the staff is helpful (although most of them don't speak English). Room temperature was ok (you can regulate it yourself). It is a bit far from the main attractions, but the cabs are cheap (starting rate 8 yuan) and at least we got to see more of the city (you can also take bus no 23 directly to Zhaolin Park :))

The hostel was situated in a place quite far from the main attractions in Harbin, so getting back to the hostel was a problem as most drivers did not know where the street was even though we showed them the address in Chinese! I would recommend that the hostel have little business cards with an address and a small map with the dragon tower on there as well to give to customers to make their lives easier when trying to get back. Otherwise it was clean and had nice size bathrooms :)

The hotel's main disadvantage is its poor location - far from the city centre and even further away from major attractions on the Sun Island. Only Dragon Tower is very close - a 3-minutes walk away. Apart from the problems with getting to and from the centre to the hotel, very small and airless rooms, and insufficient staff's language skills (no English) it is all excellent. Cheap, clean and safe. With fun area on the ground floor - incl. computers with the Internet for free and WiFi.

The price is very good, especially for the cleanliness and security. However, the location is poor. Taxi rides to anyplace interesting will run you 50-100 yuan/ trip.

good value for money, but it's a pity that they don't speak any English: it's a real limit for those foreigners that are unable to speak even basic Chinese....

I liked that the internet was free for hostelguests. The problem however was with the heating system because it grew unbearably hot during the night and the fan didn't seem to work.

more an average hotel than a hostel in a poor location if you visit Harbin and would like to stay close to the city center.

It was a little bit of a trek from the train station and the Ice Lantern festival, but otherwise it was a very good place and had excellent rooms.

A little out of the way from Ice festival, sculptures .Nothing to do after 8pm all shops and restuarants close early near the hostel so make sure you stock on snacks and keep in your room. The staff was great, very helpful. We got in really late from the touring the city and they were very helpful at ordering dinner for delivery from the nearest KFC. And believe me you dont want to walk long outside in Harbin. Room was nice and clean, worth the $.

With regard to the security cameras on the computers. If you are going to setup cameras that are real and not just fake deterrents, you should have cameras installed that can clearly determine if someone is stealing flash drives or for your sake destroying your property.

We booked through hostelword a double room (3 double rooms for 6 people) but they gave us 3 single rooms instead ( the bed of the single room is big so we could sleep anyway)so we slept in two in a room for one, which was not that small but there were not enough plugs and the bathroom had no door just a little tend. They said this is what happend when you book through hostelword. The stuff was really nice and the hotel nice and clean but the hotel is far away from the center!

The Staff was friendly but be advised that none of them speak any english. Nonetheless they made protracted efforts to communicate with us and they get points for effort. This is really a hotel rather than a hostel. Rooms are very nice and clean. However I would not recommend staying here to anyone who does not speak chinese based solely on the fact that the location is abysmal and the public transport is difficult (though not impossible) to navigate for foreigners

The staff don't speak much English but are very helpful once you get your point across. I didn't like the location because in my experience harbin was hard to get around. From the hostel you definitely have to taxi anywhere.

This was a very cozy hostel! I saw reviews that rooms do not come with disposable toiletries, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that they do. The rooms are a little small but it was fine for me since I was travelling alone. There were no windows and ventilation might be a little bad at times. However, there were several computer terminals at the lobby of the hostel. There was also a sitting area and a billard table and I think these are very nice touches to the hostel.

this hotel was fine, but that's what it is - a hotel. there is a lounge/kitchen bit downstairs which could be good in summer, but my gosh, it is just too cold to hang out there now! also, staff were lovely, but didn't speak any english, and everyone else i saw staying there was also chinese. the location is a bit far from the centre, although there are lots of buses, but i think you could find somewhere closer that would be a similar price.

We enjoyed our staying in this hostel very much. The room wasn`t big but it was comfortable, with good bed and it was very clean and warm there. The stuff helped us to choose better directions for sightseeing and always was very nice. The price was also acceptable. We didn`t have anything to complain about.
