Very nice hostel, the staff are great, the ambiance is good.
Great staff, great location, great environment for socialising. A little on the expensive side for hostels but you get what you pay for, its a very comfortable and clean hostel.
This hostel had alot going for it, the location to the beach being the number one asset. The family who owns it are very nice and are helpful. I liked everything, with two big exceptions. The first is simply that the cleaning supplies they use are very strong and toxic smelling. The second is that although the family is really sweet and the 3 kids are adorable, having 3 kids under the age of 6 can make it very loud and disruptive. Otherwise,a fine place to stay.
This hostel is clean and has a good location. For people travelling alone it is very sociable and staff ensure that everyone is included in hostel life. The staff will book tours and advise when it is best to do them. I loved this hostel and found it one of the best I have ever stayed at.
This is possibly my favourite hostel I have ever stayed at! The staff are fantastic- could not have done more to help us arrange our tours etc and felt like old friends after just a 3-day stay. We stayed in the double en-suite which was good and spotlessly clean. Bar was very cheap, friendly and good in a beautiful garden. The asado (grill) night was amazing! Gracias Gaston, we were so sad to leave!
Fantastic lockers. The BBQ night is fantastic! The hostel is clean and has comfortable beds.
Perfect score for a perfect hostel. An excellent staff who create an excellent atmosphere. I couldn't imagine a better experience in Puerto Madryn. Thanks so much for a great time.
Nice hostel decent breakfast. The guy who runs it is very enthusiastic and helpful. Good size kitchen and common area. Near the sea front but a good 10/15mins walk to the main centre. Can be a little noisy but that's a hostel for you!
excellent hostel right around the corner from the beach. Very helpful staff, great bikes to take out for seeing the town, and excellent information provided on excursions. Lovely clean bathrooms, and delicious breakfasts in the morning. Highly recommend this hostel
I was immmediately greeted with tea and some fantastic information about the city and the tours available. There is a wonderful kitchen and common area both inside and out. The beds are super comfy and bathrooms spotless. This has been a great stop! The staff is ALWAYS willing to help or answer questions. They cook dinners for the guests for a minimum fee and its tasty! Loved it here!
The best place I stayed in Argentina!!! It was like feeling at home...
It has been a wonderful stay.

This hostel is highly recommendable! Really sweet and caring staff that tries very hard to make the best out of your stay and help wherever they can. This would be enough to recommend, however: really clean, modern and spacy bathrooms, nice garden with bar, common room with cooking facilities. Not really a party hostel but that's perfect for people who want to connect a pleasant and sociable stay with getting up early and see the amazing nature around! Kepp the work up, peeps! I'm comin' back!
We had the best time in Puerto Madryn and in no small part due to the excellent staff in the Hi Patagonia. The were excellent, they really helped us make the most out our stay there. By far the best hostel we have started across Argentina, Peru and Bolivia. The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned like your mammy would clean them. Piping hot showers and comfy beds too.
Really nice are the evenings when the hostel cooks ( f.e. asado or king praws all you can eat) makes it really familiar. The only annoying thing you are not allowed to bring alcohol from the outside to the hostel...but it is not that expensive.
One of the places where you book for two nights and would like to stay two months. Comfy beds, spotless bathrooms, cozy common areas and the great staff make you feel at home. Thank you for the wonderful time!
Staff are friendly and helpful, and have some great tips to see and do in the area. They have a great common room to chill out, close to the beach to go see the whales at sunset. About a 15-20 min walk to the bus station, it's all flat ground so not difficult at all, rooms are clean and warm and spacious They try cook some lovely meal using local ingredients which I think is great but a little expensive.
Arrived around 8am on a freezing cold morning after a long journey from Buenos Aires and from the minute I arrived I was made right at home by Gaston. The rest of the staff couldn´t do any more for you and the facilities were excellent. Good atmosphere as well among the rest of the guest. Great value for money. Stay here if going to Puerto Madryn
Gaston is the consummate host and happy to help you out with arranging any thing from where to eat to which excursions are appropriate for which days. One of the top ten hostels I've stayed in during my 10 months of travel for sure.
