The best hostel I´ve ever stayed! Love the familiar atmosphere! Both Gaston´s are really nice and helpful with the trips. Furthermore they listen to all travellers daily stories, smile at you all the time and even do the Asado during the nights so travellers in the hostel can meet and chat. Great Breakfast, lots of variety. Handy kitchen. Wifi works excellent. Clean and very spacious bathrooms. and I felt very secured atv all times. Thanks guys! keep it on!

The owner/ manager of the hostel makes this a very enjoyable place to stay with a very fun and social atmosphere. We were given a wealth of information about what we could do during our visit and this was all booked for us as soon as we had decided. The hostel puts on a delicious and excellent value for money dinner ever night which encourages a fun and social atmosphere. There were also free bikes to take out for the day which we found to be a great perk!

The only feature I didn't really appreaciate was the location, this place is quite far (10 blocks, 15 minutes) from all the city center facilities and night bars. Apart from that, the place is amazing, breakfast (included) is great, there is a buffet dinner (very reasonable 50 pesos) every night, you cannot avoid get to know all the people right after a few hours. The owner - Gaston - couldn't be more helpful on giving you suggestions and helping you organizing your staying here.

Hi thanks for your comment and hope your trip continue in the way you plan it. Is difficult for me to understand where have you been during the nigth cause the most far away place in the main centre is 10 minutes away as we're in the comercail area of the town and round the corner to the main beaches.

By far one of the best hostels I've stayed at, and I've travelled a lot. Somehow they effortlessly create an open-minded and friendly atmosphere, and fix everything you ask them to. Very service-minded and friendly staff. Perfect for those who travel by themselves.

Hi Patagonia was one of the best hostels i stayed in during my 6 weeks in Argentina. The advice given on tours and wildlife trips, regarding weather/wind/tide conditions is priceless! The garden is a lovely place to relax, the barbecue a great way to meet other travelers and have some really nice food. Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend to everyone.

A great hostel. One of e best we've stayed in. The Hi Patagonia is a medium sized hostel run by one of the best hostellers going, Gaston. We stayed in a by comfortable large twin room with a shared bathroom, all good. gaston has a wealth of information and well happily book you on all the trips you can manage. You can also hire a car from him, the cars are good but you can get cheaper elsewhere, the convenience & flexibility makes it worth the extra. Definately do the prawn communal dinner :)

I couldn't imagine a better hostel to stay in during my time here. I was traveling alone and Gaston was so helpful in booking me tours. The location on the beach was perfect, too!

Great hostel for meeting other travellers. Gaston is helpful and friendly but it can be tricky getting a clear answer on whether your tour is definitely confirmed or the plan as he's always busy and takes on a lot. Hiring the HI Patagonia car is expensive given the age of it and it has no air con. Probably best to ask around and compare prices first. The bedroom walls of the downstairs rooms are thin and you can hear doors closing and opening from early morning til later at night.

Hi , thanks for your Comment and stay. I'd have to say that the walls are 20cm solid briks, don't think you can find thiker ones instead of really old houses from the begining of 20th century in Argentina. About the doors are travellers the ones that open and close (slam doors) About the cars can tell you that all of them got air cond, just cause you didn't hire anyone of them would be better to check before and write then, even though everyone is free to do what really likes at home. Enjoy your trip. Gaston

Gastón is an excellent host, and knows how to make a backpacker feel at home. Decent rooms, free towel, no problem with early checkin or leaving your things there for a late departure (even paying that late!). Excellent breakfast. Good location, but at the end of "walking distance" for heavy backpacks

A fantastic hostel, with the best host we've had so far. Gaston is amazing, and will sort out everything you need for your stay in puerto Madryn. The hostel itself feels very homely, with big, clean rooms and plenty of locker space. Dont stay anywhere else in Madryn!

Extremely welcoming atmosphere due primarily to host Gaston. Gaston tirelessly helps travellers with whatever their needs are. He helped us plan the next 10 days of our trip and found lodging where we could not. Pleasant courtyard with lovely rose bushes tended by Gaston's wife Helene. Lodging was more than adequate and mostly quiet considering the number of younger folks who were there at the time. We are older and prefer quiet after about 10:30pm.
