Over a four month trip, this was one of the best hostels we stayed at! We arrived early and were greeted by name by owner Gaston, who sat us down and brought us a cup of tea. He, along with his staff, are so fun and hospitable, as well as knowledgeable about the region and tour options. Rooms are impeccably clean, as are the bathrooms, with natural light (sometimes gets a little warm), lockers, and comfy beds. Garden, bar, and common area with rock climbing wall are superb. Loved this place!!!!

I liked everything - staff was very friendly and helpfull - I felt like beeing home, I sleept good, I meet good friends from around the world. Will come back some day, either to dive and watch whales in August or just to hang out and relax on the beach in a summer month.
I spend really good time in this hostel. Muchisimas gracias por todo chicos!! ;)
Just one night but a really nice place to stay. Staff really helpfull !
Nice atmosphere, very next to the beach. Luca, the barman and chief, is really an enthusiastic guy and a passionate cook!
The hostel is nice. What makes it really Special is the People who work there. Gaston and his employees are incredibly welcoming and friendly, it felt like being home.Furthermore the daily dinners are amazing
An awesome hostel with fantastic staff, great food and lovely and clean! Highly recommend this hostel. Easy to book tours with gastone, Luca & Isaac's help.
I had such a great stay at Hi Patagonia! All the staff was very informative about the excursiones and things to do in Puerto Madryn, and Gastón was so welcoming and animated! The dinners they had each night were a great way to meet people, and Luca was an excellent cook! Its located a block from the beach and very easy to walk to stores and restaurants. The bathrooms were really nice and were cleaned daily, as were the rooms. Comfortable mattresses as well. Overall would definitely recommend.

Hi Patagonia is a fabulous place to stay. Lucas and Gaston make you feel so welcome, the rooms are large and clean and very comfortable. It is clear a lot of thought has gone into the layout and facilities. There is a large kitchen and communal area where it is easy to make new friends. The garden has a small bar which is a place to chill out in the sun with others. Overall it is faultless and we can not recommend it highly enough!
nothing to complain about - great staff, nice rooms, good showers and the bar/backyard is great for meeting people. would stay there again!
Staff helps with aranging tours. Nice kitchen that is well equipped or enjoy one of Gaston's barbeques. Good athmosphere in the garden or at the dining table. Breakfast is ok but very sweet. Don't rent the bikes.
Very nice hostel, the staff are great, the ambiance is good.
Sweet hostel. All the facilities are perfect, like a traveller has planned them to a T. Gaston is pretty jokes and knows everything you need to know about the tours and the town. Hard to pick between this and la tosca- both are equally good. Tip-snorkelling with sea lions is expensive but incredible. Do it.
Spacious, clean hostel with the most comfortable beds in the world. There is a dinner provided every evening if you like, in the fun communal area out behind the main building. Gaston, the owner, was a lot of fun, and very helpful for getting information about the stuff to do locally. If you are visiting Puerto Madryn, you need to stay at Hi Patagonia!
Great hostel! We really felt like home the minute we walked in. Amazing staff! We were warmly welcomed and well adviced about excursions. Very clean place snd great beds ! Highly recommended!
Really welcoming, comfortable hostel. Will go out of their way to ensure that you get to see and do stuff, will help you organise anything you need and are generally very very helpful!
Great staff, great location, great environment for socialising. A little on the expensive side for hostels but you get what you pay for, its a very comfortable and clean hostel.
This hostel had alot going for it, the location to the beach being the number one asset. The family who owns it are very nice and are helpful. I liked everything, with two big exceptions. The first is simply that the cleaning supplies they use are very strong and toxic smelling. The second is that although the family is really sweet and the 3 kids are adorable, having 3 kids under the age of 6 can make it very loud and disruptive. Otherwise,a fine place to stay.
This hostel is clean and has a good location. For people travelling alone it is very sociable and staff ensure that everyone is included in hostel life. The staff will book tours and advise when it is best to do them. I loved this hostel and found it one of the best I have ever stayed at.
This is possibly my favourite hostel I have ever stayed at! The staff are fantastic- could not have done more to help us arrange our tours etc and felt like old friends after just a 3-day stay. We stayed in the double en-suite which was good and spotlessly clean. Bar was very cheap, friendly and good in a beautiful garden. The asado (grill) night was amazing! Gracias Gaston, we were so sad to leave!
