Everything you could ever want from a hostel. Gus is such a great host, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. BBQ's are cheap, more meat than you could digest in a week and a great way to meet fellow travellers. Really sets the benchmark for hostels. If only all were like this!

Very helpful staff, good breakfast, clean bathrooms (first time in 4 month that I got into the shower without flip flops)!, very comfi beds, good dinners for a reasonable price, help with booking flights and buses, and possiblity to book tours and rent a car or bikes with them.

Staff (Gaston) and the daily meals make this a lovely hostel in what isn't a very interesting town. Staff are superfriendly, will help you with literally anything.

Gaston was the best hostel owner we met, he is so welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here and the location was excellent, right near the beach and the centre of town. All tours could be organised straight from the hostel so everything was easy.

Owner Comment (Show)
Thanks guys for the stay and excuse us but there's a city cut for water and the day you stayed we're using the reserves tanks for the showers. Enjoy the trip

Had an awesome stay here. Especially over NY where we had a great asado and party with everyone. Gaston & Shannyn are so helpful and friendly as well. Facilities are what you'd like in all hostels, fully equipped kitchen, regularly cleaned rooms and bathrooms, WIFI etc. Totally recommend this place for anyone looking for that home away from home.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at: Gaston is the best host ever and knows everything! The hostel is clean, spatious, has a great atmosphere and very secure. They have a seperate house where people can hang out without waking up people. And Gaston makes a great asado! Lockers are huge!! And they even have a climbing wall.

Hostel was ok, the owner was a little overbearing, but there were other staff that were very nice. Location is pretty good, not far to walk for everything in the centre and not too far from the bus station.

My stay in Puerto Madryn would not have been the same had I not stayed at Hi! Patagonia. Gaston (the owner) is just a super amazing guy, really friendlly and helpful, and quick to tell you all about the area and things to do as well as help you book excursions, rent a car or bike, call a taxi, or anything you need. The atmosphere was friendly and fun. We organized an asado and ate dinner together one night... An excellent place to meet people and make the most of Puerto Madryn!

It was a perfect hostel to stay at. Very social and easy to get to know the others because of the Asado's and the bar. Very nice location and rooms. Gaston, the owner, was super helpful and nice to talk to.

Awesome hostel. The atmosphere is very homey. Gaston is a very nice host. From the second you walk in, he welcomes you with a hot cup of mate! Shannon, the sweet bargirl, is very friendly and helpfull. Great breakfast, free towel use, great BBQ dinners! Would go back again! Only minor comments are the communication with the staff; about excursion bookings, BBQ dinners and prices for bike rental and the lack of water in the bathrooms.
