Centuries old, Hideaway is conveniently situated in the heart of Old Berwick, yet is amazingly secluded, set behind high stone walls. Continental breakfast included in price!
Berwick is an ideal base for exploring Northumberland, Lindisfarne and the Scottish Borders.
We are close to an amazing number of cycling and walking routes.
Additionally, Northumberland is an International Mecca for birders! We have excellent secure cycle storage facilities as well as good provision for drying out clothes/boots etc if you are unlucky with the weather!
Admire the magnificent stone fireplace as you toast yourself by the multi fuel stove.
Enjoy a barbecue on the veranda or in the delightful little courtyard garden as you relax in the cool summer night air, heavy with the scent of honeysuckle and jasmine.
Shared facilities include a good sized shower, well equipped kitchen, sitting room with TV, Internet access and Wi-Fi and dining room.
Although we have raised our charges slightly again in 2010, Continental Breakfast and bedding are included in the price.
Large bath towels can be hired for £1 each.
Check in 1600 - 2200 hrs.
Card payment facilities available, although cash or cheque preferred.

This is definitely the best hostel I've ever lived in!!! It's excellent! John and Joan are very very nice. Actually they made me feel I lived in some place like home. Thank you! Strongly recommend the bed beside the sloping window in the loft with a hipping roof. You can see the clock tower of Town Hall through the window. The view is stunning! You will love it! :)))
