I don´t recomend this hostel for a family. There isn't a lift in the hostel, the bedroom is not so clean, the bathroom is the worst i ever seen. I had a problem with my family in the hostel and we had to leave in the same night that we arrive. In the next day, i came back to talk with the boss and he understood my problem. So he decided to give me back a part of my money that i had payed when i arrived. For me, that was the better thing that i saw in the hostel.

Awesome location! 10 steps from the awesome Royal Mile! They provide highland tours and are affliated to Macbackpackers.. Wish I had the time to do one of them. Definitely coming back to Edinburgh to do one of those tours!

The price of the second day was much more expensive due to a rugby game. It would have been nice if they had told us that!!

It is a nice hostel. It is at the centre of the city and close to rail station and other city attractions.

It is the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. The kitchen with the "living-room" ist very cosy and friendly for young people.

The almost nonfunctioning internet was the only thing that bumped my review down... The location, rooms, staff, etc. were all quite good.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the room that I booked. I booked a 4 female dorm and as I found out in the morning there was a man staying in the room as well. This is not relly what I expected and I was sincerely shocked to see this. The hostel should take responsibility for what people book and respect their need for privacy.

This is an excellent, well decorated hostel. The staff are friendly and they have a large lounge to chill out. Every week there are special events held in the lounge, and most of all the cost is quite low. The only drawback is that the wifi is only available in the reception area.

This hostel was absolutely fantastic. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, the rooms are clean and every bed has its own locker. The hostel itself is perfectly located by some historical sights as well as the bars. If you don't want to eat out that's fine. They have a great kitchen and lounge area in the basement. Breakfast is very cheap and there's always free coffee, hot chocolate or tea.

The price is wonderful. People are nice to each other. There are a lot of posters with job or trip opportunities which is really helpful. Staff is always ready to help you.

High Street is one of the coolest hostels I\'ve stayed in, to the point where I\'d go back to live there if I ever had a month to spare. It\'s ideally located and the staff are really friendly. Plus, there are people staying there long-term who are really interesting and willing to help you learn about Edinburgh.

This is the best hostel in my Scotland trip to Glassgow, Inverness and Edinburgh. Everything is great but the only 2 things I found pretty awkward is that, there is only one hook in the shower room and you have to be at the reception area to access Internet.
