No one was there to check us in (we had prebooked). No one answered our calls until the 3rd attempt, hours after we had attempted to check in. When someone did show up, he was drunk. We paid for breakfast but no one showed up to provide it, or to tell us it was cancelled. When we called, the person on the other end suggested that we find breakfast in town. We probably should have found our sleeping arrangements "in town" as well. The front door was unlocked the entire time.

really nice B&B the host was terrific very helpful and friendly. we had to leave very early so missed out on Breakfast, but did see the excellent dining room set up. Sadly we will not stay in that location again purely due to the Market Brae steps to Ardconnel St. Not good for elderly or people with disabilities otherwise - a very nice stay.
Our double room was small and simple, but sufficient for the price we paid. Our window was breached and rudimentary repaired; some mold was showing from the ceiling of our bath room. The heating supported a range of possible temperatures, but the heating control was a bit dodgy. The staff was very friendly, but didn't seem to be too happy in their work evironment. Breakfast was a continental buffet offering a good choice of toast, muffins, coffee, tee, fruit, cheese, ham, cereals, fromage frais.
