It was a very bad experience. The bathrooms have not been cleaned in a long time; there was a creepy drunk guy living there for the past two years and he was in our room; the hostel looks new but maintenance is zero; i would recommend choosing another hostel in Inverness.It was a very bad experience. Highlander Hostel is in the middle of town and close to everything! Robert\'s from Inverness so he knows the best places to go (and he\'s a chef so he\'s got some good tips on cooking!) the kitchen\'s nice and big too and there\'s no curfew. Is a great hostel, and the bathroom are big and clean. But only one bad thing, the staff switched off the heating at night and the room was cold. The toilets were not clean. They were a bit smelly which was a big concern.
They also locked the kitchen by 11. So during nights if we wanted water that was a bit difficult.
Lastly there was no mention of the check in time should be by 11Pm. As we were running late due some issues with the car. And we were changed at 5£ per hours after 11. Bit noisy on a Saturday night as its in the centre of town but other than that a very pleasant stay. Comfortable, warm and clean bedrooms.
