The location is just perfect, the view is amazing. The staff is so nice. We had a great stay here. You will not find something like that for this price !

This hostel is almost a fake... It's a broken house with hosts that don`t give atention to the costumers... It`s dirty, with no security... Nothing good!

The place is very beautiful and the hostel too. The worst problem is the staff that works there and the lower securty. Every day there are a party, it is impossible to know when you can breakfast.

hello dear guest, the time you visit us was carnaval time- so- yes the house was happy and playing music for the guests that time. the hours of breakfasts were late due to the parties is the nights- whats the use to serve breakfast while everybody sleeps. also let me remind that you and your other friends in a very rude way asked your money back (and got it), though we dont have to do that during carnaval and probably therefore you and them in the last reviews are mad. remember, that you also had a problem just before coming to florianopolis- in rio de janeiro with a hostel- which before knowing you and your group i wanted to help with that. good luck in the future and we realy wish you to have better exp. in the rest of your trip.

The hostel is cramped, lacking basic toilet facilities, not well cleaned, damp and disorganised. On the positivie side, it's set in a pretty location overlooking Barro de Lagoa and the breakfast was very good. If you are looking for a cheap party hostel and are not concerned about the above, then this is for you but it isn't really suitable for couples.

Nice house in a great location. Facilities are OK, but lack of reception desk and proper administration made things messy. Main gate was always open and there was no ID check point. It seems that staff were passengers who worked partime for free hosting, so never knew when they were being \"passengers\" or \"staff\". Breakfast was tasty, but was not self service so to get it, had to wait hours until \"staff\" finish feeding their friends. The owner was always friendly and helpful.

Great place for character, especially the owner who will do his best to make you feel at home. If you're a fan of military cleanliness and organisation, this place is probably not for you but all the cool people staying are the laid back, wicked fun to hang around type.

The owner is a kind and helpful type, good is that everyone can rent the whole equipment for free and he gives advices and portuguese lectures. BUT even if they clean the house every day its dirty and old b'cause of the pets (dogs, cats) and they party nearly every night. In our room was a smell after cat pee and the room was not cleaned, just the beds - thats not value for money! The breakfast is ok with omlett and bread but tooooo late (around 11am) and its loud every night.

Nice atmosphere. Everyone get together in the terrace around the table for breakfast or dinner. And it offers a most picturesque view of the idyllic neighbourhood!

Pretty run down place. It looks as if it's still being built. But you get what you pay for as it's pretty cheap usually. It's right near the beach, but very far away from everything else on the island. I moved to Lagoa da Conceição and it was better for nightlife.

realy not true- even if you don't chose to be with us which is ok, the lake is the wrong place to be in!!! all the back packers should and go to barra da lagoa where we are.

For young people who have crossed the world to party with youngsters from back home, this place is fine. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the guests are very friendly. A nice view and quite close to the beach. However, overcrowded and poorly equipped to deal with the numbers.

The free HOT breakfast every morning is delicia. Its so hard to leave this place once your there because its like a home away from home and thats the way he likes it to be.
