Very nice, helpful owner. located a short distance (5 minute walk) from main town area. Although great directions are provided on booking, more signage outside the building would be useful as the accom is on the second floor of a nondescript building on a side street. One communal bathroom provided which had a great shower bath (shower had no holder on the wall though, surely this Is easy to sort out!). Overall very pleasant stay and excellent value for money!

Great host, great location (15 min walk down a pedestrian-only street to Split's city center), parking available in the streets above the hostel.

Petar Washington very helpful. Garbage bins and tables would be good. Great otherwise.

This hostel was pretty good. It was clean and only a 10 minute walk from the main centre. The owner is very friendly and helpful however sometimes can hover a little bit when you are in your room. The only thing that needs improvement is the bathroom. The shower head doesn't have a holder and it could use a trash bin as well.

Great hostel, only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Split. The room was ensuit and had a fridge which was ideal. The owner was such a nice guy who gave us recommendations on places to eat and places to go, also allowed us to extend our stay which was great. The wifi was good and was stable throughout our stay. Overall a great hostel with great value for money, would definitely stay here again!

Little opportunity for travellers to interact with each other, no shared space. Owner wasn't even there for check in and only focuses on getting good reviews on hostel world. He refused to give me a refund for the second night because he said he wouldn't be able to sell my room in time. Although I understand he is under no obligation to refund my money, it is a form of customer service. Since Split is such a touristy area, I'm sure he would have had no problem finding someone to occupy the bed.

Peter was friendly and helpful when we checked in, although we didn't see much of him while we were there. Our room was big and clean, the only negative was the bathroom. There was one bathroom for 8 or more people, so there was always a wait. There was also no shower curtain or a place to hang the shower head, which we thought was strange. Overall, good stay at Hilltop, however.

Great hostel. Management was very nice and flexible. Recommend

Decent kitchen, comfy beds, nice to have a small balcony on each room. Really shy on bathrooms - high demand during peak times. Mostly run by just the 1 guy, so without reception it was a challenge to get help/have questions answered if you needed it during your stay. Place is up a bit of a hill, but near a nice big park, in which I recommend renting bikes and cruising around!

Cheap, excellent location (10 minute walk to edge of old town, and right next to the cities massive park!). Helpful and friendly staff. Not a party hostel if that is what you are looking for. Biggest complaint is the low number of bathrooms, and that our balcony door did not lock (or even close properly).

what an incredible stay at Hilltop. Peter was the ideal host, a really down to earth chill guy who goes out of his way to be helpful - he basically did my laundry for me. the facilities are immaculate and the location is a quaint 15 min walk to the old town. stay here!

Nice hostel, nothing very special besides Peter, the owner. We stared at the wrong foot, but after a good conversation we became good friends. He is very nice and will do all he can to make your stay enjoyable. Although very close to downtown & the beach the hostel is literally on the top of a hill, a little dificult to find so be carfull if you have a lotta luggage with you. Nice price, facilities and guests. I enjoyed very much and would defintly stay there again if ever I came back to Split.

Thank you for our amazing stay at hilltop Peter! Keep up the good work and relaxed atmosphere, you have a great hostel. One thing only, is maybe put towel hooks in the bathroom, and a bin in the room. But otherwise, it is brilliant.

Peter, the host, was extremely accommodating, he drove us to the airport & was helpful with Internet & laundry, very friendly and thoughtful. The apartments were clean and quiet; a good atmosphere and super close to the city centre. The walk up the hill is a bit steep but not too bad. The only thing we suggest he do is put a garbage in the washroom, other than that the shared space lived up to standard. We would highly suggest staying here if you are looking for a quiet place in a central area.

Located in a very quiet residential area, 5 min walking distance from a sea view point. 10 min far from centre. Place is very clean and tidy. Daily cleaning. King size beds with double wardrobe are available. Kitchen is small and suitable to prepare quick meals with all tools included. Living room under refurbishment but it seems that it´ll be available soon. peter is very keen to help and makes good effort to cover all your needs. he makes you feel taken care of. Very good value for the service

Petar was really great host. He was very friendly and polite. Hostel was great, I have traveled a lot around the world and this is by far the best hostel i have ever visited.
