I chose this hostel because of the free internet even though it had a bit lower reviews than the other option. This is good value for money. Lazy feeling, beds are comfy, rooms excellent. The look outside is a bit ugly and the lounge looks more like big garage hall with tv and couches so some deco would be good if you have the chance. The limitation of 3 toasts at breakfast is a bit funny if you ask me (probably once sb ate too many and they made the rule).. Anyway, all good, can recommend.

Good, basic, clean place to stay. Pretty quiet and near everything, too! Wif-fi could be better, but overall I'd recommend it. Definitely worth the money.

The common area was really friendly and a nice environment. Jared is a really friendly guy and very good at making people feel welcome in the hostel.

We certainly enjoyed our stay at this Hostel. Staff was very helpful in selecting worthwhile areas of interest. The booking worked out well. This for sure is one of the better hostels I have stayed at in my travels. Jared is an asset to the hostel, very helpful with everything.

The hostel has a strange layout; the rooms are nice enough but the common area is awkward and there is no real kitchen or food prep area. The staff were friendly but not particularly helpful. No directions were provided for local attractions or services, no assistance in booking activities. When I enquired about things to do and see I was given only blank stares and empty advice. I found the local bus station on my own after the second day and got good advice there instead.

It was a nice clean hostel. But please dont expect to find a propper kitchen. Its only a microwave and a elctrical hotplate which didnt really work. But other than that is was fine

Location was great but very noisy at night and didnt feel very secure... Good for a party atmosphere, and good for meeting other people.

Staff members were responsive and helpful. The pick up service was free and efficient. The Garden Gourmet was recommended by the staff and was excellent. The common areas are large, but the free bicycles that are supposed to be available for guest use are all nonoperational.

Heaps of common space, free breakfast, free wifi, comfortable bathrooms not stalls, really friendly staff (and guests!), and Hilo is a great location to visit all the awesomeness of the east side of the big island. The only downside was no lockers. Thanks for a great time!

very old (slow) 2-burner stove; only 1 old computer to access internet and it was never working properly; double rooms were very spacious; inexpensive, but taxes were not included on the quoted price Hostelword and cash payment only.
