there was a large group who were having a party and literally shouting for several hours in both the night and morning in the corridors as well as some of the rooms, and no one at the hostel made any attempt to ask them to tone it down a bit. This is the second time we have stayed here. We took a private room which is modern, large and clean. There is a clean well stocked kitchen with free bread and tea and coffee. Only problem we had was no heating (its November), so we had to get a portable heater from reception, and on the Sunday we had no hot water to wash in, but byt the afternoon it was ok. Great City Centre Hostel, very young clientelle that like a good drink on a saturday night as this is a real city centre postion. Really clean. My dorm bed was comfy and quiet but the floorboards outside the room could do with gluing down to stop them creaking. Excellent location just 3-5 minutes walk from Piccadilly Gardens, Arndale and Shudehill interchange. Spacious and clean rooms, Kitchen, Internet for 1 pound per 30 min. Very good stay. Great location. Very helpful and pleasant staff. The only downside was fear of waking up fellow room mates who we did not know, but I guess that's how hostels work.Very good stay.
