This hostel is super clean and posh-wannabe. They have thousands of littel rules that make your stay stressful, the worse part is that the staff did not follow these own rules. On top of that, THEY CHARGE MORE MONEY THEN THEY ANNOUNCE. You have to pay an extra fee for the blankets which IS NOT INLCUDED in the daily price. Also I managed a couple of times to enter the hostel (and my room) without being noticed by anyone, which was a deal breaker for me. I would defintely not recommend HipKarma.

A little hard to find at first, but once I found it, it was probably one of the best places I have stayed at yet! Super modern, with very comfortable beds (private curtains around each one and a light included), spacious storage under the beds with three plugs for you to use. The bathrooms were great and clean, and the internet worked well. No breakfast, but there is a big kitchen where you can cook and store food. The staff here are excellent! I would highly recommend this place to anyone :)

the hostel was in all ways adequate: clean, friendly, central, but not incredibly fun or welcoming

This is the first time I stayed in a real "hostel" as opposed to apartments or other privates that are listed on HostelWorld.com and it was an interesting experience to say the least. I have lived in college dorms for 3 years and Hip Karma was pretty much like that. Thankfully the facilities were clean and well kept, and there was also free internet- a MUST especially when you need to plan parts of your trip.

It is really a nice hostel which is much more than its price value. The staff was really nice and helpful. It was extremely clean and internet was really good, In addition, it is very close to Metro station, about 3 min walk. And also it was in walking distance (about 10-15min) to the city center and old town. In the beginning, the room was a bit cold but after we told Marc. he changed the air conditioner and it got warmer. We had a very nice time in Barcelona.
