Really nice hostel with great staff, one of the best in NZ. Beautiful views over the town and lake, partly cus it's up a massive hill which is a bit of a nightmare! Still close to town though. Free parking, very good communal areas; particularly the outdoor bits including the BBQ terrace. Excellent kitchen, showers & toilets and comfy beds. Wifi is ok, but only a small allowance is free.

I've been staying here for years. Quiet and a great spot to base yourself with no fuss.

We had a room, that was next to the common area and because of group teenagers, that went to queenstown just for the party...impossible sleep whole night. We wanted change room but wasn't any other available. So can be good but it depend on people u will meet. So we were the last who fall aslleep and first woken up because of kitchen.

Bad experience, our room was near the kitchen and there was a big party (more than 20 people), after that some people have been watching a movie until 3:00 am , we couldn't fall asleep at all.

No good if you're interested in sleeping - Extremely noisy til the early hours, bad separation of sleeping and social areas (rooms coming off the lounge). Messy common areas. Good shower, large room, great view.

Lots of nice welcoming people staying here. The front desk helped me book activities and I got a good rate through the hostel. And the excellent water pressure in the shower and lights by the bed were a bonus.

Loved our stay here. The hostel is located just 5 mins away from the main street and at an elevation. Offers lovely views of the lake. We had booked an 8 bed mixed form but got an upgrade to a private 4 bed room. The room could do with better ventilation though. But overall, a very nice experience. I'd definitely come back again.

The staff were awesome and friendly, beautiful views and fantastic for the money.

Host very clean and tidy, rooms are comfortable and facilities are great. Wifi reception was a little patchy but otherwise great.

Great hostel, wonderful view over the lake, nice and quiet at night, helpful staff and big clean rooms!

awsome views shana went out of her way to find us an alternative room when there was a problem able to organize all tours and activities knew Queenstown well

Best hostel we stayed in NZ. Helpful staff gave us upgrade for free for our room so we actually stayed in a nicer room. It was clean and spacious with tv and big window. Kitchen and lounge area was also really clean (so was the bathroom) with a great view on Queenstown as the lodge is situated on the hill close to town. Nice 5min walk to the centre and trust me, the hill is not that steep on the way back. Recommending!!

Top notch hostel! It sits right at the edge of the action so you can go into town during the day or night and come back to a chilled out hostel. The incredible views of Queenstown and the lake are a stunning surprise. The walk up the hill might be a bit much if you're carrying a big backpack.

ensures you have place to park a car as some other hostels which are in downtown may not have enough park area. the direction is not quite clearly descripted. if you need to walk there from downtown, be prepared for climbing an abrupt slope.

Nice place to stay and close proximity to hikes around Queenstown. Up a large hill from the town proper, which is not really a problem but is a minor pain. The staff are excellent and will give a discount on activities you book through them, which is especially important in Queenstown!

Lovely, non-party hostel with amazing views of Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown. Staff and hostel cat were wonderful! Definitely recommend for those looking for a bit more of a home-y experience, away from the loud party scene of the CBD

Very nice and quiet hostel - friendly staff - large kitchen and living room, with new flatsccreen TV ;-)

Really good hostel, the most difficult part is to climb until it, if you have too heavy bags with you...
