HOSTEL 'Hispania Residence' is a community residence in new building with superb facilities. It has 5 floors, a terrace, a roof that delights with its views of Madrid. We have 32 clean and comfortable rooms, of which, 17 singles, 12 doubles, 2 triples with bathroom and 1 family room with full bath.
3 minutes, is the metro station Marques de Vadillo (Line 5) that communicates directly with the Puerta del Sol, where we visit the main museums: the Museo del Prado, the Thyssen Museum, the National Center de Arte Reina Sofia, and the historic Madrid.

More of a long term living accomodation rather than a hostel. The housekeeper doesn't speak english (and we speak very little spanish) but luckily we arrived at the same time as another english speaking guest who translated for us. We had booked a double room with ensuite, however when we arrived it turned out to be a twin room with a shared bathroom. An ensuite room is 7€ extra per night. Still great value for money - was very clean and about a 30 min walk to Gran Via
