Fantastic building with lots of history. Cental location with lovely view over the river. Great onsen!

I have travelled through nearly 50 countries and stayed in more then 100 hostels worldwide. But K's House Ito is probably the BEST hostel experience I have ever had :-)! While ITO is a small town without very interesting sites, this hostel on itself is it THE major destination in Japan to relax for a while away from the big cities. Please stay at least TWO nights: one for amazing yourself with the amazing rooms and atmosphere. A second to really enjoy the building :-).
Easily the best value for a "hostel" that I've ever come across.
Is this place for real? The best price quality ratio of any hostel anywhere in the world (I have stayed at more than 500). I'm not leaving Japan without going back at least once. A real public onsen in the basement, open 24 hours, with flowing water (unlike those which circulate the same 90 percent of those I have seen). A gem (understatement).
Thank you very very much for this unique and pleasant stay at your place!
Fantastic place!!!! All eight of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice ramen house on the corner, and great Soul and Funk bar just on from that. Cheers for the stay folks!
Awesome hostel! Great location, great rooms, great onsen! Couldn't be better :)
This was a brilliant hostel, the staff were so friendly and everything was spotlessly clean. I loved the traditional Japanese vibe it had and the use of the free Onsen was brilliant.
If you are in need for some quite days enjoying and relaxing in the onsen and making walks at the sea side. I bet on it you gone love it..
This was certainly the nicest/ most special hostel that we stayed in. While Ito itself is not too exciting, two night at K's are a good way to wind out while enjoying a very "Japanese" feeling. The dorms are decorated in a traditional tatami style and you will certainly remember your stay. Make sure to enjoy the stay in the onsen, which is included in the price.
Lovely place that has the traditional atmosphere, but still is functional and modern for the guests. Staff speak great English. Our stay was a positive surprise, and much nicer than any of the other hostels we've stayed at in Japan.
The buildings interior is beautiful but the exterior is a little dirty looking. The kitchen has the basics, oil, sugar and salt as well as coffee and tea necessities. However they did not provide shoyu like at the Kyoto K's house which as bit surprising. The rooms were lovely and I thought it great the room had a fridge and a little sink with mirror. We had a great stay and the onsen was greatly enjoyed.
Amazing onsen hostel for a great deal! I love the traditional minimalist Japanese vibe here. Staff is lovely and speak English. Rooms are very comfortable and common space is wonderful. The onsen is of course the highlight. Very relaxing!
We had a lovely stay here in Ito. The accommodation was more like a luxurious spa retreat than a hostel! The tatami mats and accompanying sheets were both clean and comfy. The natural onsen were incredibly relaxing and we felt truly stress-free by time check-out arrived!
I loved this hostel from the second I saw it, and inside it is even better. Great staff, great house and facilities. Everybody is very relaxed and friendly.
Best hostel I've ever stayed at! Good onsen, friendly staff and quality rooms. The map on the actual hostel website makes the short walk from the train station simple too.
