Great location, across the road from some pretty good restaurants. Our room was clean however, we spotted a mouse in the kitchen area. The pool is inside under the stairs, not all that welcoming. Staff were helpful and friendly but wouldn't really let us leave until they knew what we were up to in the day. Bike hire is great, we paid 20,000VND/day. They have a security guard overnight.
Such warm welcoming and friendly staff that went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Makes such a big difference when you look forward to seeing the staff int he morning for a chat. Rooms were big, clean, and comfortable. Its a bit of a walk from the main area, but to be honest its nice to be away from the noise when you retire in the evening. And try the cafe 41 over the road - best spring rolls EVER!
hoa my really satisfied me. when i arrived i as pretty tired and entering in the room i thought "thank's god!". it was very nice with a balcony where to drink a cold beer. staff is also helpfull and kind with me. it' the best place i've been since i arrived n vietnam. if you wish they have also a small swimming pool inside. Just breakfast is not excellent cause you don't have so many things, but hey, it was included... . Strongly recommended!
Hoa My Hotel is simple and mostly fine for any short stay in Hoi An. However, there were small inconveniences. When we arrived, we discovered our room had been given to another guest. We were given a discount for the first night. The hot water is not reliable. It only lasted for a few minutes in our room. And upon checkout, I was informed the hotel could not accept credit cards. This is not a big deal, but it did cause another unplanned ATM trip. Regardless, small inconveniences add up!
Overall, pretty good hostel. About a 20 minute walk from old town, but you can rent bicycles here for $1 each... Can also bike to the beach in about half an hour. Definitely go to Cafe 41 across the street, beer for 3000 dong and really good, really cheap food. Our room was a but dingy and not the greatest place to meet people, but overall pretty decent.
Very friendly, we missed a locker in the room, because reception doesn't keep always prelongings.
I had a great time at Hoa My Hotel. The room was very nice with a beautiful balcony. The hotel is in walking distance to the center. Vy, the receptionist, is the best!

Good place in a nice alley! Nearby a few great restaurants (Cafe 43) and also close to everything else in the city!
Fantastic little hotel. Staff were very friendly and provided advice on tours and things to do in Hoi An. Located just outside the town centre it's in a perfect place. Hoi An is small and easily walkable. Breakfast is included and offers a decent choice. The best thing is the indoor pool which not many hotels in Vietnam offer, perfect for cooling off from the midday heat. Rooms were a good size and the balcony is useful for drying clothes if you need to wash any out. Highly recommended!
About a 10 minute walk out of the centre but has a good restaurants nearby. The one opposite that the reception recommended was lovely. Reception can organise onward travel, cycle or moped hire, anything you need really and staff all very friendly.
Great hotel, great location, great pool, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful! Right opposite the hotel is the best restaurant in Vietnam - Cafe 43. Their food and drinks were amazing, they are the nicest family, and our girls enjoyed a fabulous cooking lesson in their kitchen.
Lovely staff and great location between beach and old quarter. Close to great food and cheap beer. Would definitely return

Pretty nice hotel, i rocked up a day early and they put me in a nicer room than the one I booked. About a 10minute walk from the old town but the staff were really nice and the place next door to the hotel has beer for $3000dong.
Very friendly place / staff professional / room with terrace / pool very relaxing / free rent bi cycle / perfect hotel to spend time to take a test and go to the beach!
It was noisy in the morning starting at 7:00. Sound echoed in the corridor. Lovely pool and great location near the old town; a 10 minute walk. Cafe 43 across the street and a few shops over was our favourite place to eat. Cheap dishes and cheap fresh made beer for 3000 dong.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the centre of town, a little further than advertised. We were a little nervous walking home late at night.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hoi An. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was large with bath. Breakfast was included with plenty of choice. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Bike hire was free which was nice when cycling to the beach (about 3km from the hostel). Though the hostel was a ten minute walk from the town this wasn't an issue as it meant it was nice and quiet and there were also a number of good value restaurants on the same road.
Great location - out of the tourist area - best restaurants opposite no. 41 & 43. Pool very refreshing to come back to after day at beach.

Lovely room with our own balcony! A lot of services, all great! The only little disappointment we had was when we paid they put the prices annouced to us throughout the stay in dollars converted in dongs with the 21000 for 1 value and when we said we wanted to pay in dollars they changed it back at the 20000 for 1 value, so we paid an extra 5 dollars in the conversion, which wasn't very honest... But overall it was really nice, and we just didn't leave a tip as they took it themselves... ;-)
We enjoyed the hotel very much. Rooms were wide and clean. The staff was very helpful. We can only say that if we ever come back to Hoi An we will choose the same place. Thank You for all. Francesc
