Clean spacious room, good location from the centre of the city, only major downside was the deafening building works that started at 7am and continued throughout the day, not the best when I was ill and trying to sleep during the day. Other then that polite friendly staff and opposite cafe 41 which has the nicest staff and food! Would recommend but with ear plugs!
Ok hotel, service is the best part really. No oversheet for bed provided so used my silk sleeping bag liner. Quite a bit from old town, 10-15 mins walk. Good, but not excellent. Wifi poor at times.
Everything was perfect! Just what we needed, very nice staff, gold trips and a great town!
Hoi An is not a nice place and had some fun here with an extended stay not actually being available but they worked it out for us in the end at a neighbouring hotel (which then promptly tried to forget the reduced price). If you come by bus (from Hue) you'll likely find a rep pushing this place but their not bad people just close enough to be there. On that note the bikes by the bus drop off are lying scum, got harassed with "it's too far" chasing me when this hotel is literally 30sec away
if given a chance to be back in Hoi An, we will definitely stay in this hotel again. Very nice hotel, beyond our expectations.
Nice place to stay. Friendly staff. Quiet location close to restaurants and convenience stores. The food at Cafe 41 is very good - located directly opposite the hotel. If you want to kill a few hours in a Starbucks-style cafe try Highlands Coffee, 83 Tran Hung Dao.

We had a double room which was lovely, beds were very comfy and we even treated ourselves to the mini bar - reasonably priced. Would have liked a locker/safe in room but you could leave any valuables at reception when you went out so not a problem. Free breakfast was a plus and the pool is an excellent way to cool down after wandering the old quarter. Although we felt the location was slightly further out than we expected but still only takes 15 mins to the river.
We had booked an superior double room and it was amazing! Bright, with a balcony and a little pond on the balcony with fish in it! Loved it! Location about 5-10minutes walk to center, an in the street around are nice cheap restaurants. Pool inside which we didn,t use. They offer bikes for day rent, so you can easily reach the beaches(loved An Dang!!!) and the rice padies. Definitifely come back next time!
When we stayed there (middle of april 2014) they had a breakfast menu which you ordered from and they made it right then and there. Most of it was pancakes and eggs/omelettes, but they were really good! The staff was very friendly and we were never in need of anything. The swimming pool isn't very big, but my friend and I managed to create a syncron swimming coreagraphy in it. The hostel is in good walking distance from the old town, and you arrive smack in the middle of the tailors.
We had to wait for 4 hours for the room even tough we had mentioned our arrival time before hand and also while booking. They charge more for taxi services in and around the city. You can get it for cheaper rates outside. Very far away from the beach.
A nice hotel, very cheap with a good location opposite a great place to grab a bite called cafe 41.
Location seemed a bit far from the old part of Hoi An, but that didn't matter much since it's such a nice town to walk through. Our room was upstairs in what seemed like an attic, but it still wasn't bad for the price.
Best Location opposite Café 43! Room was clean and spacious with an awesome balcony, basic breakfast a la carte and good wifi in the lobby, reception in the room wasn't the best, but that may differ from room to room. All in all a good but not outstanding place.
Lovely place. Staff were friendly and helpful, they gve is a map and suggested some places to go. Close to the central area for clothes and shopping, only a 10 minute walk to the river through the beautiful old streets. Only about 1-3 minutes by taxi from the bus station so don't get ripped off by the taxi driver like we did! Would stay again, plus Cafe 43 over the road was great - good food and we even did a cooking course with them :D lovely!
Good location, 10mins walk to main houses and Japanese Bridge, and very near lots of good restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff who can help book tours and onwards travel. Excellent wifi in all rooms. The "shared bathroom" rooms are only shared between 2 rooms so were never busy. Nice breakfast - you can choose one drink and one option from the food menu - omelettes, pancakes, fruit salad etc. They also rent bikes for US$1 a day, and offer good value trips.
Very nice hostel, staff were very friendly and helpful, room was large and clean. Bit of a walk to main area but wasn't enough to put us off the place. Good breakfast.
Room was huge. Breakfast was included. Cafe 43 across the road was the bomb!!! Staff always willing to help.
The location is good, as the old town is within walking distance and you have a number of cheap restaurants located nearby. The staff is nice and always smiling. They do try to push you to book tours or get some tailoring done when you check-in, but after that there is no hassle over this. The room was spacious, with a queen size bed. The bathroom is nice and clean, with a bathtub/shower, the first I've encountered in Vietnam so far. The Hoa My II hotel is a solid budget option in Hoi An!
