Very clean place, although noisy if you're staying in dorms upstairs because people gether together in the kitchen that is right next to the rooms. All in all, nice place to stay.

Very good hostel. Excellent location,(no need to use tram to get around) Nice kitchen,Free simple breakfast every day.WiFi in the rooms, Felt like home :) The only con was that the common room closes at 12 and the 'noisy' travelers can't let you sleep because they gather at the kitchen which is next to the rooms.

Hobo Bear is a small & friendly boutique hostel. The staff are friendly and the common area has a great vibe provides a fun place to hang out. The beds are comfy (except the pillows are a bit small), and the lockers under the bed are large. Wifi everywhere. It's 8 minutes or so to walk to Ban Jelačić square, but I found everything to be in walking distance; I even walked from the train station. All in all, it's a great hostel and I'd definitely stay there again.

Friendly staff, nice kitchen, clean bathrooms. Beds were comfortable, but the lockers were a tad small.

Really good hostel, was very happy with my stay here. Cheap drinks during happy hour, a well-stocked kitchen, and really nice and helpful staff were highlights for me. Only downside was probably that the common room closes at midnight, so people had to talk in the kitchen which is very close to the rooms. But aside from that it was great!

Double room is actually an apartment across the road which was really nice. Fun hostel, great staff.

Apart from the tiny hiccups which are more or less unavoidable (my locker had no lock, though I'm sure I'd get one didn't I bring my own, and breakfast was an hour late once, so I ended up missing it, and the rooms were a wee bit overheated for my taste, but so was everything in Croatia) it was maybe my most pleasant hostel experience ever. Staff were smiling and helpful, there was a good atmosphere in the common room, and really, it has everything one could ever want.

Great Hostel! Stayed in a 6-person dorm that had a lot of cool little conveniences: good-size lockers with good locks, extra outlets, small lamps by each bed, and a little container hanging from the top bunks for you to put your cell phone, glasses, etc. Other travelers were friendly, there's a cool lobby/lounge area, and a lot of people around. Wasn't noisy or crazy, though, so it was easy to get to sleep when I wanted. The location in Zagreb is great. It's a pleasant walk to the main square.

The place is great! You get all the trimmings (breaklfast, warm water, wifi etc.) for basically nothing. The dorms were clean, the staff were really helpful and recommended things to do that aren't just 'follow your guidebook'. The only downside was that at breakfast you're given cereal but no milk! Other than that I really can't complain. Great, homey hostel.
