Location is very good. Just 4 minutes walk from Dresden Neustadt Bahnhof. Excellent rooms. Nice, Clean, Big.... Towels, Soap, bedsheets provided. Beds were very good. Hostel was beautiful. Staff was very friendly & supportive. Speaks english well. Tourist maps & info available with hostel. I give full marks to the hostel. Thank you HOFGARTEN 1824 for making my stay memorable.

I've stayed in around 15 hostels over the past few months and this has been the best. It's a great place, the rooms are big and clean, and the staff is very helpful. I highly recommend.

We particularly appreciated the choice of food available for breakfast and the care that had been taken to present the food well.

This is a lovely hostel within a 15 minute walk to the old town historic area. The outside and reception area are as nice as any boutique hotel. Rooms are extremely clean and large, but plain as you would expect in a hostel. The metal bunks were not great, but the duvets and pillows were excellent. The buffet breakfast is a bit pricey at 9 euro per person, but it is worth it for the amount and variety of food presented -many meats, cheeses, yogurt and homemade salads. Excellent staff.

first of all, if you don´t speak german don´t go to Dresden...my main complain is about the staff, at least with me they were extremelly rude and, as I said, only the reception girls speak english...
