It is about a five minute walk from the beach! The staff was very helpful and everyone was very friendly. We had a good trip!

Great location and friendly professional staff. Excellent crash pad for checking out Waikiki and Oahu.

Second time I stayed there price went up considerably and facility not upgraded to compensate needs more solid bunk beds. Otherwise location is great and staff were good.

Rooms have good facilities. Rooms are very bright (no curtains) and noisy. Area was noisy as well. Breakfast was between 9 and 10 only. Food was ok though. Four lockers for 8 bed dorm, and also a quarter per use. Towels were for sale only (4$). Some staff members were rude, most of them ok and helpfull. Location was good; near busstop, beach and shops. NOTE: buses won't take you with luggage that won't fit under your seat or on your lap. You might need to take a shuttle (15$ one way).

Nice party hostel, lots of people to meet and they have an open lounge area for nightly socials. I was in an 8 person mixed dorm and it was very crammed. The room was small and there was literally no space other than the bed you sleep in (which are all bunk beds) No air conditioning, which for Hawaii nights are brutal hot particularly shared with 7 other bodies. The bathrooms could use a little TLC as they're old and dirty. When I explained my dissatisfaction staff were nice enough to refund me

Room is ok. The lounge is crowded. The facility is quite old. However the location is great!

The hostel was kind of boring. There were lockers in the room but they had all been used. The staff were great but there was an older guy(40s) hanging around in the common area being a creep and hitting on girls the whole time. I asked who he was and someone thought he was actually a local but friends with the owner or something. He definitely wasn't travelling.

Our reservation was somehow lost although we had the confirmation. They somehow cancelled it without notifying us. They did fix this and gave us an all female room like we originally paid for which was awesome and staff was friendly. Then we had a parking spot given to us for the inconvenience which was great, except they let other people park in our spot so we had to park on the street. We also had several bites after sleeping in the bed.

The staff at the Beachside Hostel are really helpful and friendly. The bunks and room are just what you would expect in a hostel. The room I was in had only three lockers for eight beds, so if you don't get one of those lockers all your possessions are at risk from the many people that have access to the room.

The staff were unhelpful and unknowledgable and were somewhat rude. We also had to sleep without a pillow as they had only given 4 pillows in an 8 bedroom dorm.

It was a great location (2 blocks from the beach), filled with friendly, helpful staff! There were a fair amount of partiers in the hostel, which was fine, just loud sometimes. But that's to be expected I think. It was great to have a kitchen and bathroom in each room. Rooms were slightly dirty, but only because there were 7 people in the room. No fault to the hostel...and in any case, cleaners came in every day which was awesome. All around, a great stay for me.

Great hostel. My only voice of concern is the lack of clothing hooks in the bathrooms.

Location a block from South Waikiki is good if that's what you're aiming for, but I discovered there's very little worthwhile in this part of the city. Would MUCH prefer being away from Waikiki. The hostel itself is an old cinder block apartment complex devoid of personality or personal touch. Would greatly have appreciated even something as simple as a towel rack in the bathroom. Beds were clean and I received fresh sheets, bathroom was so-so cleanliness wise. Pretty loud as well.

Really liked the place. Just a little "lost" when checking in as had not stayed here before and would have liked to know where things were.

Awesome, friendly, helpful staff. Great vibe, spot on location close to waikiki beach. Would definitely recommend!

Since every room is double a second AC in the 2nd room is required. You should put video surveillance in every floor for safety reasons.

Excellent hostel with helpful staff and cool travellers. It's definitely the place to be. The beach is really close (2 min. walk) and there's a ABC store right around the corner.

Met some of the coolest people here. Great location just 1 block from the beach. Outdoor lounge area is alive every night - great place to socialize.
