The staff was rude and dismissive especially upon arrival, except for the woman who works on weekends and holidays-she was great. The breakfast is a typical Spanish breakfast, many guests ended up buying their own stuff to eat. The terrace closes at 9pm but I don't think it's the hostels fault-Barcelona has strict noise laws. Big, big downfall: I hope you don't get room #2, you can hear everything on the street and every time someone buzzes into the hostel, ugh. Up side: bike rental 8€/day!

Somebody stole 150 € from my locked locker. Right before it happened the cleaning lady blocked the door with the cart, so my friend couldn't get into the room. After the theft the locker was locked. (Do the math yourself). I mentioned the accident to the staff and they just said that they were very sorry. Ortherwise the hostel was very nice.

I recommend this hostel to all of you want to stay in Barcelona. Everthing in this hostel is great and probably is the best one I have ever stayed. However, there are some shortages: the kitchen is not big enough, it will be better you cook earlier or very latere and the breakfast is quiet poor.

Hola Hostel Eixample is in a good location to grab your map and start walking to the main sights in Barcelona. I would recommend it for groups of people and not for the solo traveller (like myself). The Hostel is too large to have a good atmosphere for the solo traveller. Yes, I met some some lovely people but I think I was lucky. There are many groups of friends who keep to themselves. The facilities were fall apart. Wifi did not work one morning. And for two mornings no lights in showers.

Nice stuff, nice hostel, but the kitchen needs new and more pots, the stove is not working that well, to of them are broken. the hostel is like a dungeen, no windows at all and in the room is the light just going on when your coming in, theres no lighter. it's realy anoying. but all in all nice hostel!! :-)

It was good. There are free lockers in the rooms. Baths are okay. Wi-fi was super, it works everywhere. Location is okay.

Awesome hostel! Awesome open common area to meet new people. The rooms were so clean and air conditioned with great security to lock your valuables in. Plenty of showers and all round great place! Love the bar crawls too.

The hostel is situated in the convenient area with close location to buses and metro. There's LIDL very close and many local supermercats and small cafes :) You can even walk around 20 minutes and you'll find yourself near La Rambla. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. Beds are clean as well as the kitchen. Only flaw I would say is the bathroom, it's very dark in the shower booth and it's difficult to shave legs :D breakfast is typically spanish so you need to grab a bite after anyway.

It was excellent about facilities. Wi-fi works everywhere and there is socket for every bed. With the room card, you can use locker free. Bathrooms and toilettes are clean. There is kitchen that you can use and a good atmosphere around it.

my opinion: hostel type bunker 2 floors below ground,no natural light, not suitable for people who suffer claustrophobia, place to cook very small for about 130 guests, staff not very friendly, quality and price is very expensive...

A horrible experience overall because the guests were very noisy, banging the doors of the dormitories and making lots of noise in the kitchen until and even past midnight. The staff did not seem to be in control of the situation. Also, not switching off the lights in the dormitories until 11:45 PM is really disrespectful of people's need for sleep, and that what a primary function of a dormitory is, isn't it?

Stayed in a 8 mixed dorm which had a locker for each bed. Each bed had it's own electrical plug and small light. Room was close to a bathroom which didn't have a hand dryer. Had to walk a little ways to shower. Biggest complaint is the shower. You had to constantly push the button in order for water to run. No hand soap in some bathrooms. Staff were very nice. Served free breakfast which were small toast like crackers and some juice which normally always ran out. Has a full kitchen. Had wifi!

It's very clean hostel, good location. The only thing that bothered me were showers - sometimes I did not get hot water at all, which is rather annoying…

The hostel was great, breakfast and location were fine for the money you paid. Not the cleanest but in a safe neighborhood and i really enjoyed staying there.

front desk workers were seriously rude.

Kitchen facilities: Very difficult to cook with a pot with no handle or lid! Buy some new pots please!! Dorms: Fantastically thought through! Whoever designed the dorms has travelled and stayed in hostels!!

We were in a room that was like a basement, pipes running all across the walls that were noisy and smelly. The floor was filthy, had a layer of dirt. The cleaner came in one morning and sprayed air freshened and left. The bathroom smelt disgusting. The lights were on a sensor/timer so they were always on and off at the worst times. The cleaner gave all our food away that we left in the fridge the day after we bought it. The wifi didn't work for any of us for the whole stay.

Very conveniently located, a few blocks from the bus station and the metro station where buses and trains connect with both airports. 15 or 20 minutes walk to the beach or the city center. Rooms are comfortable, with a big locker for each bed, secured with an electronic lock. Every bed has its own bedlight and plug for charging your devices. The staff is there 24 hours a day. After checkout you can leave your baggage and even use the facilities (except the rooms) for the day if you need it.

Overall the hostel was good. The only thing we would say is that when you arrive at the hostel it would be good if the reception staff told you about things to see and do in Barcelona so people have an idea of what's around. The staff that also worked in the kitchen were so lovely and helpful and were the reason we rated the staff excellent.

Very nice hostel, we spent a very very good week there. It should be a good idea to stick images on the bin for a better sorting and also to add a fridge! Nice terasse, clean sanitary and nice people!
