Good Value fo Money, fair price - you get what you pay for. The hostel is nicely decorated, although nothing extravagant. It is very close to the metro line, so you can reach the Downtown in no time. And the trains run frequently during the day and night, so it's almost like you have stayed in the city center. If you are looking for a reasonable priced accomodation, without any luxury, I would definitely recommed Holiday Jones.

Great location and cleanest hostel bathrooms I've ever seen! Our bedroom door wouldn't lock, though, and the walls were a bit thin. Good experience overall.

It was very clean and surprisingly hip. The breakfast was rather lacking, (could have included some fruit!), and the wifi was pretty unstable, but it was in a nice location, had a very nice room, and was close to transportation.

Recently spent a long weekend in Chicago for the Bulls Heat game. Great location with easy access to O'Hare & Downtown Chicago via the Blue Line, and just a short Bus/Cab ride away from United Center. Spoilt for choice when it comes to Bars/Restaurants on nearby Division & Milwaukee Ave, and the hostel provided flyer with recommendations didn't disappoint. Antique Taco was a favourite. Room amenities were basic but clean & in good condition. As to be expected. Recommended!

Works are still in progress, but you won't really feel that. Everything is clean and nice, though it seemed just two bathrooms for one floor might not be enough during high season. The staff is nice and give a lot of useful advice on where to go and how to get to around Chicago. 5 min from subway stations, shops around, handy line - direct from both airport and greyhound terminal, close to the centre. Excellent for the price.

The woman on the front desk was very good for local knowledge. Car parking in the area is difficult. Directions to the hostel would be improved by adding driving instructions for the Interstate and giving the exit number to look for. (I drove past the exit and had to turn around when I realised I was leaving the city.)

Perfect place for who want's to be around the cool stores, cafes and bars in Wicker Park. The Hostel is very good!

There were no lockers in the rooms to stash away valuables. Much more could be done to the common room in the basement to make it a cozy place to hang out - bookshelves, a rug, a little faux fireplace. Wi-fi is dodgy, not always working. New hostel is off to a good start but needs to improve a bit. :)

nice clean hostel. Didn't have much of a vibe to it but it's clean and in an awesome area. Staff are fantastic

I went for Thanksgiven with three more friends. We loved the hostel, It was definitely better than we were expecting. It's near to subway station with the line which goes to the airport. Public transport in Chicago is awesome so you don't need to pay more to stay in a hostel closer downtown. The bed is very comfortable. I do recommend.

I really love how they took an authentic Chicago hospitality concept (SRO) and developed it further. The place looks brand new, is spotless, very secure, has great staff and is in a cosy neigborhood. Their information sheet is very useful. Downtown is a 10 minute ride with the blue line (although Chicago is a city of suburbs). Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper, as walls are thin.

Over all everything is good especially the location is perfect! However, the neighborhood is sometimes too noisy at nighttime.

Welcoming was great, very friendly and approachable. The kitchen and seating area was very convenient and felt like home. I will definitely be back and bring my family and friends when they will come to visit me in the future !

This hostel is pretty new and it was nicely renovated. Interior was well-thought and designed, it has sort of a grungy look(but very clean). The staff is very friendly and they know the area very well. If you want to find certain things in the area they know it. It's not in downtown area but this area has a charm and if you like checking out some thrift stores you will have fun. I only stayed for a day but next time I would like top stay longer. Price is great and I hope they will keep up.
