Great, laid back, Euro-cool atmoshpere!

Really Good!

Staff was ok. The pancakes in the morning are good. Common Area was good, got to watch NBA playoffs and there was a movie night. The free hot dog and candies were really good, too. The wi-fi was very slow though. Wi-fi worked better at McDonald's or Starbucks. All in all, it was worth the money.

The only good thing with this hostel is its Best location and its very cheap. Otherwise the breakfast wasn't good. The staff is very helpful and I want to thank them.

Great! This place is such a party hostel. Sadly my friends were staying down the road in a hotel so I could not get involved in as many activities as i wanted too. Everyone was friendly and the place is clean. Location is AMAZING, literally right infront of everything you would want to see in hollywood!

Bathroom facilities in need of significant improvement!

Hollywood Youth Hostel has everything you require as a traveller for a very low price. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The hostel is old but that gives it good character. The location is fantastic if you want to right in the heart of Hollywood. I think the best thing about Hollywood hostel is the kitchen/entertainment facilities. They have free coffee/tea and hold parties once a week where you can participate in a game of beer pong.

Over the past 3 months whilst travelling a variety of countries, this hostel is by far the best iv stayed at. Amazing location and the price is extremely cheap for what you get. Free coffee, free internet (if your nice to the manager), free tours of the area and not forgetting free breakfast! Whilst i stayed here there were at least 2 major parties held by the manager (love you Chris) who also supplied free beer and vodka which went down well whilst playing beer pong. loved it! Thank you!

Our room was pretty dirty, especially the floor (sand and trash), so that affected the feeling of the hostel a little bit. Other than than, great location right on the Walk of Fame opposite to the Kodak Theatre, the mall and a lot of other tourist stuff. Mostly young people there, so I can't understand why there weren't more parties there. Not until my last night there was free beer and people gathering in the common area. If you wanna save money for something else, partying etc, stay here!

When I arrived I was surprised to see that the front door was opened, no lock being used giving access to anybody. we had to wait 20 mins in the lobby for a male staff member to finish having a smoke before checking in. The male staff member had an unpleasant disposition and appeared disgruntled that we'd interrupted his smoke. The bathroom is a joke. There were 2 for the whole place, it looked like a crack house scene out of a movie. People were using the McDonald's bathroom to wash up!!

this hostel isn't clean at all....i would have preferred to turn around n get out as soon as i came in for the check in.....the check in starts at 12:30 pm...exceptionally late....there was just one bath- n shower possibility for the whole hostel....the kitchen was disgusting....dirty dishes n dust overall on the tables

ABSOLOUTLEY HORRIFIC.. location is excellent but that is the only thing going for this DIRT PIT, if you walk across the carpet with bear feet or your socks on they will go black because of the dirt. The staff are absoloutley ridiculous the most RUDE and moodiest people i have ever come across and i have traveled the world. The head guy must have bi polar because one minute he is happy then the next he just ignores you.

Great location, but pretty dirty. You get what you pay for.

I ended up not staying because upon my arrival, the two desk attendants got into it about whether I could stay. After the one accepting my reservation explained it, they were going to let me stay. But then they started tacking on more cost. Overall, I felt very uncomfortable once I started interacting with the staff. I also had a problem with the fact that they promoted Beer Pong at a Youth Hostel.

The staff were awesome! Great location too, I'll be back next summer. Thanks.

FANTASTIC LOCATION, fairly quiet,clean

This hostel is okay, nothing special though. We had no curtains in the room which was a bit annoying. It is right on Hollywood Boulevard which is convienient and right across the road from the train which is also great.
