This hostel was awesome and the crew was even better! First I booked only 3 nights, finally I extended my stay for another 8 nights. The staff helped me with everything from where to go and what to do and how to get around . The rest of the crew there also made me feel right at home, this hostel really felt like a home away from home and I would recommend it to all my friends!

We had such a great experience. The stuff is lovely and very helpful and super fair. I was already about to leave when the reception girl reminded me that I would still get my deposit back. We loved hanging out there, smoking shisha, meeting other travelers. The wi-fi is another big plus. I definitely recommend Holy Cow tents!!

If your backpacking on a budget nowhere in Palolem that can compete with this place. It is impossible for me with limited space to write to give Holy Cow its due credit. I will say only this, If you want to stay in a place that cares about YOUR EXPERIENCE and not about profits, this is the place. wake up to the view of the mountains and the Holy Cows grazing in the fields opposite and the big smiles from the family that run the Huts, they make your stay special and thats all that mattered to me.

It was such an incredible disappointment!! Don't go there, has nothing that worth it. The manager doen't speak english so it's very hard to understand her or ask any questions, and she is very grumpy and makes you uncomfortable all the time. Breakfast is very poor and athmosphere..there isn't at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We move the second day to the coco huts right on the beach, that was half of the price and with people working there very nice, like Parvathi coco huts or Flavia's Paradise.

Dear guest, it was a pleasure to host you, as we realized that actually you´ve sent one person to have a look on our place to write afterwards a bad review and to promote for your place, we don´t even want to argue anything. The woman you were talking about is such a lovely warmhearted and nice person that everyone who arrives here is amazed by her. She takes care of everyone.

You definitely get what you pay for. It's cheap and has a great location, however it does not come with all the amenities listed. It's hard to get hot water, you will not get a towel, you must ask repeatedly if you want your change back or a blanket. The rooms are listed as 4 bed dorms... when they really are 5+. They have "lockers" which are flimsy with locks that are not secure, however keeping your things in the tent was pretty safe. They came in and moved my things around without asking.

They had forgot about my booking so they built me a bed out of old tables which was uneven, way too short and very uncomfortable. Moreover we were 6 people in to room instead of 4 because of the homemade beds! The security was very poor too. All this is quite a shame because the place has such a nice atmosphere and the staff is very friendly.

Holy Cow Huts was a great place to stay! While it's not right on the beach, it's only a short walk away and it's tucked away in this little enclave away from most of the tourist activity. The food and bar are pretty good, and the staff was infinitely kind and helpful.

Firstly, the location of the hostel described on the hostel world map was inaccurate, this needs to be fixed. Secondly, the manager should inform the adjoining hotel (village utopia) about holy cow hits cause no one knows it exists and there is no signage. Lastly, I would not recommend this place to anyone as there are better safer and cheaper options in palolem. Being in a group of 3 girls travelling we did not feel safe and left about an hour after arriving there.
