I really had a very good stay in this hostel. Birendra and his staff are very helpfull and friendly. Iff you have questions about trekkings, tours etc, Birendra is always willing to help you out with good information. I mostly took food on the rooftop-restaurant, good food for a very reasonable price, a very friendly service and a good place just to relax in the middle of the Thamel area. Thanks for the pleasant stay!

Great hostel where hospitality really matters!! Next to that the owner helped me out with arranging a tour to Bhutan in a very short time and if you want to go to Tibet he knows where to go. Staff is also extremely helpful and friendly and the food on the top roof restaurant is delicious and for a good price. Upstairs is a great place to hang out or read a book. Will definitely come back here to arrange my trip to Tibet!!

There was no fan in the dorm which made it difficult to sleep at times. The light at one end of the room worked the other was in darkness, hardly any of the electrical sockets worked and most were hanging off the wall. However the staff more than made up for this as they were super friendly and willing to help where possible such as helping me get to the bus park on time and even checking that i was up to get the bus!

Holyland Guesthouse is a great place to stay. This place feels very homey.Birendra, the manager, is very helpful and friendly. The staff, Akas, Rhudra and Asmita are extremely helpful and courteous.Trekking and travel services are easy to arrange through K.B. , an experienced trekking guide. Hot water and nice little rooms at an affordable price. I have also met many interesting and friendly folks from:Bhutan, France, England, Japan, China, Germany and Nepal. I recommend HL without reservation.
