One thing i really liked about this hostel was the kitchen. It has lots of space and tools to use. But the whole hostel's atmosphere was not really homey to me. The hallway and the bathroom had a bad smell. It has a really cheap price, but i would pay little bit more to go to a better hostel.

very good location. very easily accessible to all the old quarter features. A ~5euro taxi ride to the Renfe train station. Kitchen is big, equipped and clean BUT THE KNIVES ARE BLUNT (a minor drawback of an otherwise fantastic hostel). Free walking tour is a very welcome feature, Duncan the Scott does a good job and has so many good little tips and places to go. Go on the pub crawl with him and challenge him to how high you can pour sangria from and catch it in your mouth.

The pallea is good. A good amount of socialization. Bar crawl friday and saturday during the off season but not to many people went on mine... (still had lots of fun tho!) Only complaint would be that the directions from the bus stop were misleading. They need to tell you to to make a right at some point right before you "see the sign"... Google it before hand

It was a very pleasant hostel to stay in. The bathrooms were shared (men and women) but this caused no problems whatsoever. The bathrooms were cleaned at least twice a day, which was great! There were several nice activities organised and the hostel has a nice kitchen with some couches where people can hang out. Great experience!

This was a great hostel, the staff were very friendly and helpful and great facilities even if the shower doors seemed a bit short. I didn't like being told to carry around a tag as ID that I'm staying there but it was never checked and I've been told other hostels do it too, so maybe it's not that weird.

A great location, and the clean rooms. I just wish that the kitchen and rooftop should be accessible at least till 2AM.

WiFi didn't work in the rooms and the computers provided down stairs were hit and miss also. One staff member was cool, the other not so much. The location is good as it close to most things, but the area is not good for a female traveling alone at night such as my self. I didn't feel entirely safe on the streets in that area. The showers smelt like mold even though they looked clean. The locker system was really good. Not a bad place but didn't deserve the wrap it got from lonely planet.

I definitely recommend this hostel--it's in a great spot, the staff is friendly and helpful, and they have plenty of activities and resources to rent bikes, find restaurants, etc. I stayed in a 6-bed all female dorm, which was perfectly clean and had a locker available for each guest. The decor was a bit overwhelming, but it is a youth hostel, after all. Guys and girls share a bathroom, but it was clean and there was plenty of space for everyone.

Well, definitely good location, nice & helpful staff and loads of interesting guests - hostels in general still drive you to connect to fellow travelers. :) Keep on the good work.
