I'm travelling since january 2011, i'm doing a world trip and without any doubt the bells beach hostel was one of the best hostel i have seen, especially for the staff (Denis was in charge, very kind guy). Hope to have other hostel like the bells beach. The room was clean, the bathroom very very clean and the atmosphere amazing. Thanks to the bells beach hostel. Gianluca

I had a great time at Home @ bells beach. I stayed in the 12 bed dorm for two nights and everyone was quite and respectful. The place was very clean. The kitchen area was spacious. The staff were friendly. It had a very good atmosphere. The location is right by the bus stop and very close to the surf shops and walking distance to the beach. I would definitely stay there again.

Home @ Bells Beach was awesome. I booked for myself and a group of around 12 others for my 21st and it was in a great location, with a great atmosphere. There's a BBQ area which we utilised and a sun-deck which we could luckily use as it was good weather. Overall would definitely recommend to travellers, the staff are really helpful in giving tips on where to go etc, and we really enjoyed the stay.

We had a very enjoyable stay in this hostel: nice pleasant common areas and a great atmosphere, the bathroom and kitchen were both really clean, beds were really comfortables and staff gave us a warm welcome.

Only stayed one night and it was really noisy, which is great if you want to party but we were tired so wanted to rest and there was no quiet area. Would visit again though.

Feels to be like a relatively new set up. Very clean toilets. Nice TV and kitchen area. Lots of place outside to chill out. Less then 10mins walk to Coles supermarket and eateries area. A little further is the beach..

Our room was lovely and the bed comfortable, however, the hostel was very full and we had difficulty accessing the facilities in the kitchen and storing our food in the fridge. The kitchen was full of dirty dishes the following morning and the door appeared to have remained unlocked all night, despite notices. The watshing up was done very efficiently by a girl who appeared to be earning her keep by cleaning (good for her!) but the point was, people should have cleaned up after themselves.

Given the name we expected this hostel to be near Bells Beach but was about 10mins drive away - otherwise, this is ok stop along the GOR and the staff were friendly. Large dorm can get quite messy but there were lockers and everyone seems to respect the quiet hours.

A great little hostel in a fantastic location - walking distance to the beach, shops and supermarket. Really friendly and helpful staff and the other guests were really friendly too. We only stayed one night but it was a very social atmosphere and we'd definitely stay again. Super clean and the most comfortable bed I've ever had in a backpacker!

I have stayed here many years ago and loved it. This was my first visit since their renovations and I was very impressed with it! The staff were great and its well situated for public transport, the beach, town centre and the surf shops!

I'm actually still here until the end of January and i have to say, this is definitely the best hostel i've stayed in so far. The staff are so friendly and always happy to help. The guests here have all been super friendly, i have lots of new friends now =) I'm sleeping in the 12 bed, which is a building next to the main building. It's clean and spacious and all guests seem to leave really happy =D I highly recommend staying here, even if its just a pitt stop after the great ocean road.10/10 =)

We didn't sleep at all as people were partying loudly in the kitchen area not far from our room until 5am. We left the following morning cancelling the next two nights we had booked, we lost a nights stay due to cancelling but found a much nicer place to stay down the road in lorne check it out 25-30's this youth hostel was more like 18 - early 20's avoid!! Unless u want to party!? :)

Love this hostel! By far the best one I stayed at. Lots of young people stay there so it's totally easy to find some new party friends. The staff are very nice. I would definitely stay there again in the future.
