The facilities for families could be better (for exemple no price differences and no facilities for reserve a familly room). We had a bad room (415) with the noise of the ventilation in front of the window ! (1m)

This is a fantastic hostel that gets everything right. Staff are some of the best I've encountered, facilities are clean, and there is an incredible living room with a massive DVD collection that brings the guests together each night. But the best thing by far was Mamma's dinner, where for 10 euros you get three courses and as much sangria as you like. Mamma is so friendly and sweet. I didn't want to leave!

Beautiful hostel with great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly but not all on the same page and not very organized. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in, the next night the staff gave our beds to other travellers (which resulted in the owner giving us a couple rounds of free drinks, so it wasn't all bad), the biggest frustration involved the laundry.. long story. Nice hostel, wonderful owners, confused staff.

I fell in love with this hostel! You immediately feel how cozy the hostel is. Everyone is welcoming (staff and guests). Mama's cooking is great! I'm vegetarian and I was greatly accomodated for my meal! The room and bathroom were clean. The hostel is close to the main attractions or transportation. I really enjoyed my stay at Home hostel and recommend it! I made great acquaintances and I was travelling alone! I felt very safe as a female as well. Please don't miss this great hostel!

Everything perfect, the place and the staff was amazing. The breakfast is great, but don't try mama's dinner if you\re really hungry. It's tasty, though the portions are so little. you'll end up even hungrier!

Great hostel, brilliant location. The only downside I can think of is that it's a little noisy (even for a hostel).

This hostel was AMAZING! It was the final hostel of our trip and we were astounded at how gorgeous it was. Every minor detail had been thought of (hairdryers in bedrooms, bags and markers to label your food before you put it in the fridge, etc.) - it truly felt like home. The staff was amazing (especially Andre... ;) so hospitable!!!) and they really helped to make the hostel a very social and fun place at night. This hostel made me fall in love with Lisbon and I can't wait to return!

This hostel is so far the best I've stayed in. The staff is awesome. They really care about their guests and make them feel home. For those who miss home dinners or who want to try a portugese dish they need to eat mamma's dinner. It is so good and you can have as much as you want!!! They have great beds and everything is very clean. The location is perfect. I definitely recommend Home Lisbon Hostel to everyone for an unforgettable experience.

The best hostel i've stayed so far. That's how every hostel should be: Friendly and helpfull staff, great beds, high quality furniture, everything is very clean, great atmosphere and reasonable prices! The atmosphere is great and will make you feel like home. All in all an excelent Hostel. First time I've rate "excellent" for all the attributes. Great job, home hostel team!

Two years ago I already stayed at an awesome hostel in Lisbon. This time I stayed at this one and once again it's really awesome! What a hostel! I simply have to stay here again! Unfortunately I only stayed one night for a concert. No wonder this hostel is called home hostel - you definitely feel at home. No matter what you need, you get it here! A place to sleep, to chill, to have a drink, to have a chat, to party...! Thanks guys! Hopefully we'll meet again soon!

Hi, I like Lisbon home hostel very very much. From the internet, you can read it the one the top 5 hostels worldwide, and it fit the reviews. It is nearly the bench, near the famous 28 tram stop, near the Alfama area. Kind working persons, nice TV and living room, two public iMac PC and one ipad. In the bedroom, you still have strong wifi signal. Some years later, if I come back Lisbon, I will choice there again.

Home Hostel was an excellent home base for our time in Lisbon. Not only was the staff incredibly helpful and friendly, the set up of the hostel allowed us to meet other fabulous and interesting travelers. At one point there were five different languages begin spoken at the same table and we were all interacting, learning about each other. Mamma is a great cook, so I highly recommend her dinners, the 10 euro is vale la pena (worth it!).
