Really enjoyed my stay as it's very central and Mama's Diners are the best!!! I will be back ;-)

I've stayed in many hostels around Europe but this is THE hostel that really makes me feel like home. The hostel is decorated with family portraits of André(the owner, who fairly represents the charm of potuguese man) and mama, the rooms are open, clean, with all necessities, and everyone I've met here, whether the staff or the travelers, is happy and willing to share their stories(and often u cant tell who lives here or who works here, cuz we r all friends). dont forget to try mama's dinner!

By far the best hostel I've stayed in throughout all of Europe! Home Hostels greets you with the words "Welcome Home!" - and that feeling and openness sticks throughout your entire stay. The location is superb, and the building facilities are fantastic. Rooms are comfortable, kitchen is spacious, and the common room packed with good movies, music and company. The staff - especially "Mama" - is wonderful. The night I left they even gave my friend and I a couple free shots and a toast! Go Home!

A great place to stay in downtown Lisbon close to attractions or a short walk to public transportation routes to other parts of the city. Very friendly staff eager to help or give recommendations on places to check out, dine out etc.... Try Momma's dinner at least once in the hostel, definitely worth it for the cooking and the atmosphere!

PERFECT STAY! You must go there if you are planning a trip in Lisbon! Mama´s dinner is just perfect and worth the money! The hostel was on renovation so it was a bit messy but it is still the best hostel I have ever seen!! Thanks Home Hostel, a home far away from home!

This will be a great hostel - the staff are so friendly and helpful, mama's dinners are amazing and it is set up really well to be a social atmosphere. The hostel was still finishing its construction while I was there and opened too early - there were workers putting up light fixtures, etc, all day and they didn't yet have laundry service (I was very disappointed with this since it is the reason I chose the hostel in the first place!) or locks on the drawers, etc. It WILL be excellent though!

I had a good time in the Home Hostel. The staff is really nice and it is easy to meet new people at the hostel. The rooms are beatifully established, the bed is comfy and there is an inviting and cosy living room. Unfortunately the hostel is poorly soundproofed. If the people in Your floor are noisy and full of temperament it is nearly impossible to find sleep.

This is, by far, the best hostel i've ever stayed in my whole life. Rooms are amazing, showers are really good, common area is perfect. Mama's dinner is so good you'll just want to eat there every day instead of going out for food. Staff is incredibly helpful and super friendly. Book it. Right now. You can punch me in the face if you don't like it.

Really, really, really good hostel, one of the best I have stayed in.

Amazing hostel!! Amazing staff, amazing food and an amazingly good time! I had originally only booked for 2 nights but I extended my stay until they closed for renovations! One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. Mama's dinner's are truly one of a kind! Thanks for everything, I will definitely be back home soon!!!

This is the most fabulous hostel. The staff is friendly, the rooms spacious and clean, the bathrooms are spotless, and it is a great value. I felt at home here, especially with Mama's dinner which was a great value and delicious. If I have the chance to return to Lisbon I will be staying here. The hostel is in a great location and has everything you could possibly need. The walking tours offered are also very good. I cannot recommend this hostel highly enough. A++++

Really a lovely place! It's an easy walk from the metro. Great part of town with lots of restaurants, bars, bakeries, shopping. The staff is warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The place is super clean. I was there over Christmas and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Mama's meal was great! Overall a great stay! My only suggestion is to get bigger water heaters! Three of my four showers were cold!

Very great experience! Really appreciated the advice and enjoyed meeting the staff. André, João and Diana were exceptional. Mamma's dinner was excellent, and the experience of eating with a real Portuguese family was even better. Would love to come back and stay with y'all again!

It was conviently located, right in the center near all the action! The staff was so kind and helpful. They give everyone locks and lockers so your baggage is safe. I had a very cozy experience there!

I traveled to Lisbon on vacation from Dec 21-23, short trip but the experience that I encountered at this hostel made my trip a 1000 times better. The staff alone needed to be rewarded just for their commitment to the hostel and their guests! I previously worked in the hospitality industry for 7 years as a assistant general manger of a hotel with over 250 rooms and I can honestly say when I return to Lisbon I know where I'm staying. Great service Great staff! GREAT JOB HOME!!!!
